3rd Degree (2) - Better Days / Uprising - 15-Dec-06 04:51 AM
Quality undergound Hip-Hop track! Better Days was used on DJ Premier's Crooklyn Cuts Tape C under the name Better Dayz by the Sharpshooters (Mr. Supreme and DJ Sureshot), which is a mistake on Prim's part. Super ill track though!
Forefront Noise - Crowded Bus - 12-Dec-06 11:17 PM
This is a really great EP from Noel Nanton. All of the tracks are very creative and useful. The "Five O'clock track was used on Terry Francis's Architecture CD. It was also played by David Alvarado on his Soul Searching Vol.2 mix. If only there were more records like this out there! Props...
Wally Callerio - Dejavu - 11-Dec-06 08:23 AM
This track brings back some great memories every time I play it. For New Years 2000, I went to San Francisco to party it up. Last minute I heard that Leaf Recordings was having a party at the Top on Haight (infamous and unfortunatly late, club). The DJ's were Hector Morales, DJ Rasoul and DJ Buck all playing in that order. All fav's of mine at the time. Rasoul threw down a deep funky tribal set of whites I have still yet heard anywhere else. Rasoul ended his set 1 minute before countdown. The place was going the @#$% off by this time. Buck steped up to the decks at midnight and started the new century off with this record. The funky ass horns just made the place blow up. I will never forget that night or this record. EPIC! Thanks Buck!
Terry Francis - Architecture - 10-Dec-06 11:07 PM
One of the best house mix CD's of all time. It has style, energy, tha funk and some comedy. Great track selection, superb programing and flawlessly mixed by Terry. Very nice!
Nightmares On Wax - The Sweetest - 16-Jun-06 05:35 AM
Great 7"! I love "The Sweetest" track from the album. Nice vocals and reggae styled guitar. The perfect summer track. The flip "Thaihi" is an exclusive track to this single featuring a sick beat workout, with tons of effects and an old vocal sample I can't quite place. It would have fit right in with the rest of the album. Nice one E.A.S.E.!
