Trinidadian Deep Aug 08, 2008
Hailing from Toronto's underground, Trini, as we call him in the T.O , has been banging out legendary dj sets for years, responsible for the FEAR edit radio show, still running by the way, and a prominent figure in the warehouse and afterhours scene in Toronto, its only natural that production would be on its way, much like his djs sets, the productions are long and building, emersed in organics, obsessed with percusssion, did i mention his cousin is Ron Trent?? If you see his work, pick it up...Chew on it. aka Prescrition North.
Joe Claussell Aug 08, 2008
Joe Claussell....I love you.
This guy cant fail, always in great form, his approach is alwys the same, but always new...From deep driving house, to organic tribal workouts...The occasional experimental tune doesnt dissapoint either. His djing skills are nothing to shy away from, he can create an almost heaven like atmosphere and keep ya going till the sun comes up, I ve seen people crying, seriously.
If you like deep, dark afrolatin dance floor rhythms...Then look into this dude. He wont dissipoint.
Ron Trent Aug 08, 2008
Ron Trent...Where do I start, Altered States catapulted him into the world of underground dance, I believe he was only 17 or 18 when he made this huge mark on the scene. Since, he has started several lables and has worked with many of House/Techno musics biggest names, Anthony Nicholson most notably...This combination, much like Larry Heard & Robert Owens, was made in heaven. Prescription records and Clairaudience are straight up examples of what record labels should be doing today. Nothing but quality. To this day the prescription catologue is well in demand, and is finally seeing reissues appear. He is a true master of his art...
Osunlade Aug 08, 2008
Organic, jazzy deep afro latin ...Wow, the list goes on, this guy hits the mark, in the last decade Osunlade has pushed the boundries of House music, and soul music for that matter, to new heights. His every production is sought after...He cant do wrong. From deep organic lush house , to deep techno infused floor smashers. His dj sets are now legendary, he even sings on his records and works with his Yoruba Soul orchestra bringing a live feel to his signature sounds...If its says Osunlade, just buy it.
Glenn Underground Aug 08, 2008
Glenn has been gracing us with beautiful melody based tunes for years, his Chicago roots raised him right, his music is infused with jazz and disco elements, his keyboard based productions are incredibly tight and so well organized and produced, a true genious. Although he's been putting out records since the early 90's, i personally still feel that he hasnt gotten his deserved props as an innovator of house music. Whenever i listen to one of his creations, iam blown away by the intricate arrangements and bold statements he makes with keyboards. Its all gold baby.
Stilove4music Aug 08, 2008
Great label! What else can I say, Jerome isnt just great at running a label, but his djing skills are superb, much like moodymann, and theo parrish, his mixes carry you in all directions...Soul, funk, disco, house techno...And anything else in between...These 12"s are mainly funk and disco edits, however artists like TrusMe, Rick Wilhite have graced it with some straight up house!! As a matter of fact , the TrusME releases are so high in demand that bootlegs are starting to pop up!! So whenever you see a plain black label on a 12"...Dont sleep, pick it up and listen...Stillove4music wont dissapoint!! oh, and check his other labels Still Music and Past Due...Nothing but magic.

I came upon a few black label 12 inches, untitled, after researching i was blessed to have discovered the artist name and have now become obsessed with anything they put out, i would easily compare this album to Moodyman's A Silent Introduction, absolute genious, everytrack oozes intelligence, obviously inspired by jazz, funk and soul, and surely influenced by the great music city of Detroit. Absolute gold, i cant stop stop playing this record, honest! I f you ask me there is no stand out track, they are all stand out, you can see the meticulus production work put into this album, the sound quality is superb, play it on vinyl and you'll see what I mean, I can only cross my fingers and hope to see much, much more from these producers.
