Reviews & Discussion:

What a tune, never heard this until recently, they really are some undiscovered gems going under the Italo Disco banner. Totally agree with Magic00, this track defines all that is great about the genre. Super camp rolling bassline mix with garishly bright riffs and stabs, completely naff yet completely compelling. However whats especially excellent here is the double tracked male/female vocal - Wicked, Wicked, Wicked! The sleeve Artwork is top too of course, check it out!
Hallucinogen - Twisted Aug 25, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Simon Posfords sound Defines Goa/Psy Trance, although he's been involved in many other sucessfull projects "Twisted" remains the masterpiece. Faultless dark electronic music it's the soundtrack to the furthest reaches of your imagination. Sumpremely powerfull, and sounds as fresh now (2006) as it did in 1994. Simon Posford deserves every bit of credit as one of electronic music's pioneers.
X-Dream - Panic In Paradise / Relax Vortex Aug 23, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Panic in Paradise is one of the most Energised Psy-Trance tracks ever made, and will continue to be so. Driving Bassline, simple but very clever Percussive hooks, and more Panning/twinkling FX than you could shake a very large stick at - It Rocks
Chris Fortier - Balance 007 May 03, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Excellent 3xCd Mix featuring a range of sounds expertly welded into three Differing Soundscapes - I say welded because this compilation has a very industrial/machine theme. The first Cd is 2005 style Tech/Progressive House and more upfront than than the second which is a deeper, tranced out groove, the third Cd is Breaks.

Highlights on the Compilation Include: Alex Smoke - Pingu, which according to my girlfriend "Sounds like being inside a washing Machine". And Kobbe & DJ Nitro's - America that apparently "Sounds like a big machine sweeping the road at night"

Wicked stuff !
James Holden - At The Controls May 02, 2006 (edited over 3 years ago)
Cutting edge of cool it may well be but a little dissapointing measured against his excellent Balance CD. There's no doubt there's quality material on here but its sat with several 'Fashion' Electronica tracks, and this causes the mix to jar. Aphex is always good, however others seem more "art for arts sake" If you will....
