For 10 years, 12k has released really intense works and has made itself a solid reputation in modern/experimental music. Do you ever wanted to hear something that seems to come from another planet? Minimal, abstract, ambient, mental, deep, there are no matching words to describe 12k music but you can't be indifferent. In my opinion, the best way to understand it is to open the window on a beautiful sun day, watch outside and start thinking about the world.

Daniel Menche - 07-Dec-05 06:59 PM
It's really hard to describe Daniel Menche's work. You notice I didn't use the word "music" ; It's not pejorative, but the question is to know if we can yet speak about music here !

"Music is an art, entertainment, or other human activity that involves organized and audible sound, though definitions may vary."

Organized ? Absolutely not. Audible sound ? It really depends. No melody, no structure. Just chaos, confusion and disorder. I can't tell you why some people (include me) need to listen this kind of sound...

Anyway, if you look for something experimental, something that you've never heard before, try any of Daniel Menche's work. A truly unique experience.

Hellfish - One Man Sonic Attack Force - 10-Nov-05 05:21 AM
I'm definitively not into hardcore but this one has something different. Some amazed beat & bass. Neither boring nor unpleasant - as some hardcore release I've already heard -. You're obliged to bounce up when you listen it! Take a look at this Hellfish second album and you'll probably be not disappointed...

Flashbulb, The - Réunion - 31-Oct-05 03:38 PM
I have to agree with hark_mall. Exit breakcore or other hard electronic style. Benn L. Jordan have produced a soft record where music is really pleasant (it doesn't mean his previous stuff is not pleasant!). We can find here some well-written compositions with classical instruments as saxo, violin/cello, piano, harp, xylophone (?), acoustic guitar, drum.

That confirm Benn L. Jordan is a real musician. But I think we all knew it... Maybe not essential but really good release from The Flashbulb. 4/5.

Planet Mu - 15-Oct-05 10:09 AM
Since about two years ago now, Planet Mu is becoming one of the most respectful & exciting label in Electronic music (especially breakcore) releasing masterpieces such as recent Venetian Snares records (Rossz Csillag Alatt Született, Meathole), first Exile album (Pro Agonist) or the fresh Frog Pocket disc (Gonglot) mixing incredible ambient melodies within manic noisy breaks.
