Mo, The (2) - Mo - 06-Mar-08 01:37 PM
A record which I did not know I own till ... a bit of vinyl clean up in my room. And whats more important, how it sounds, as it was misfiled with the latin, bossa and flamenco stuff. When I traced it on discogs, I euphorically rated it with 5 points, but after reconstructing my move and landing on the ground, 4 points it is! Golden 4 points for something so simple amazing me like nothing for a long time. Pure post-wave pop, with not a slice of pretentiousnes. Easy dancing and loving!

Baby Huey - The Baby Huey Story - The Living Legend - 01-Mar-08 07:56 AM
The UK version of this cd is on Sequel (NEBCD 405), and includes three bonus tracks: Mighty Mighty Children (part 1), Running (mono edit) and Hard Times (mono mix). Usefull liner notes, with Baby Huey and The Babysiters discography consisting of only 2 singles "Mighty Mighty Children (pts 1 & 2) (Curtom, 1969.) and Listen To Me/Hard Times (Curtom, 1971.) and this long player are also included. The sleeve is identical as of the US release. "Baby Hueys talent, originality and innate inventiveness can only be glimpsed at."

Time* - Time - 29-Sep-07 08:45 AM
Time was a short lived super-group consisting of some of the best jazz, blues and rock musicians from Croatia, at that time Yugoslavia. The self titled debut is a eastern european prog rock gemm, without a single moment which can be considered as unoriginal or boring in anyway. In the community of rare prog rock vinyl collectors, buying records with no criteria except its obscurity, this one always hits them with its quality. It delivers a fantastic blend between rock songs, bluesy guitar impros and jazzy chords, plus an awfull funk tune "Kralj Alkohol".

Azra (3) - Ravno Do Dna - 29-Sep-07 08:27 AM
Many of the songs included on this 3LP live set havent been recorded in the studio, neither before or after the three consecutive concerts have been held and recorded in 1981. As the title song: Ravno Do Dna and others: Nedjeljni Komentar, Rođen Da Budem Šonjo, Visoko Iznad Vlakova, Plavo - Smeđe, Reket Roll Iz Šume Striborove, Vrata Podzemnih Voda, Svjetska Lada, Sestra Lovel 1984, Ne Želim Ništa Loše Da Ti Uradim, Prokleto Ljut, Sjaj U Kosi and Ostavi Me Nasamo.

Pekinška Patka - Strah Od Monotonije - 29-Sep-07 08:08 AM
As the groups first single records and LP Plitka Poezija are unquestionably pure 1,2,3 punk rock oriented, their second and last LP Strah Od Monotonije provides a radical cut with the past and excursion into new wave art with rhythm machines and synth sounds. Its depressive lyrics revealed the groups darker side, as the translation of the album name recalls: Fear Of Monothony. Simmilar atmosphere can be traced very rarely in european or american post wave groups, and fills the gap between post wave punk and gothic movement.
