Reviews & Discussion:

Truly one of the best records in my collection. I actually didn't find out about this one until late 2009, and oh boy have I listened to this!

For me, Chords Of Sorrow is absolutely the stronger one of these two. Gregorian chant n' bass is exactly what it is, and it really stands out from the competition. Frame Of Reference for its part, reminds me more of the typical Subtle Audio sound, which really isn't a bad thing. This one though, is a bit too drumfunk for me. I love to have a strong atmospheric influence behind the drum breaks. Works perfectly on a mixtape, as where Chords Of Sorrow works both as a single track and as part of a mix.

All in all, nicely done! I'm sure to be playing this one for a long time. Definitely full 5 points.
This is quite an odd compilation of music. There seems to be no consistensy between the tracks, but rather just different kinds of 12 inchers put into a package.

The A side, Share The Blame, is quite a nice dancefloor tune. However, I don't remember hearing it too much in the past. The last track is Play The Game from the same duo Majik & Brown. I have to say this could've been the b-side of Share The Blame. And that's pretty much everything it's worth.

I'm not going to analyze the 2nd 12" too much, since both the tracks are pretty much just basic dancefloor rumble.

Luckily sides E & F are the classic World Of Music and Sunray, which still sound good after many many years.

Concluding the review, I wouldn't put my last money on this compilation. It's got some good tunes on it, but it seems to me like half of the tracks are there just to make this one a 4x12" box when it could've been a 2x12" EP.
