Reviews & Discussion:
It is interesting how the production quality of 'Baltimore' is a digression from that of tracks Mr. Parkes made 10 years prior! It's as if he threw away everything that one came to expect from him; precision, subtlety, sophistication and created a dirty dancefloor smasher instead, complete with ragga sample. The track seems unfinished, lacking mix-down even, yet the music is so powerful it would take away from the tune to clean it up in any way.
Now that fools are all on some "liquid" and "neuro" examples of tight production, this guy takes it back to the nasty jump-up jungle roots, that he was *not* known for back when!! WTF... | ||||
The Dylan Remix however reworks the tune in true form, expanding on the vibe of the original, keeping it very fun and up-beat, replete with a hiphop breakdown.
