Krome & Time - This Sound Is For The Underground / Manic Stampede - 21-Oct-07 12:18 PM
I cant believe no-one has written a review for this yet. "This Sound Is For The Underground" is probably the single greatest hardcore tune ever. I wish I had something clever to say about this release, except that from the distinctive bassline to the hands in the air strings, its one of those tunes that keeps on pumping all the way to the label. On the flipside is the awesome "Manic Stampede" with the She keeps on running sample, another tune that never tires, although for my money the remix of this particular track is far superior.

Bizzy B + Cool Hand Flex - Rollin / Come Back 2 Me - 16-Jul-06 06:18 AM
This track for me is just about the purest form of Jungle/Drum and Bass to come out of that 93/94 period. The ethereal Come Back To Me sample underscoring earth shattering drum breaks creates a dark sound unlike any other track at the time, and yet is still strangely uplifting. This combination of breaks and synth being a Bizzy B trademark. In all its darkness you can still see the light! A true work of genius.

Wild Orkid - The Magic In You / Orkid - 20-Jun-06 08:06 AM
The A side is probably one of my favorite jungle tunes of all time. From the vocal Magic in you (from "Dont Lose The Magic" by Shawn Christopher), this tune plods along nicely on its bubbly reggae influenced journey, to me the perfect drum loop that could repeat forever without sounding boring... great for mixing into and out of, a tireless track, and epitomy of a good Jungle track - the mixture between Reggae and Breaks.

Adonis / Jesse Valez* - Rockin' Down The House / Girls Out On The Floor - 20-Jun-06 08:06 AM
Probably my favorite of all the Trax back to back releases - on the A you get the incredibly haunting Rocking Down The House, whilst the B is a more catchy Hip-House, that still rocks the dancefloor due to the catchy Girls Out On The Floor rap/rhyme... but hasnt stood the test of time as well as the A side that is still a pleasure to listen to.

The logo for this label was stolen from a local (Harpenden, Hertfordshire) rave crew known as "Spirit" who put on a number of events from 1992 - 1993. The original Spirit logo was designed by Andy Mardle - a.k.a. "Pants"
