Thomas Köner - Nuuk - 10-Mar-05 04:34 AM
Köner uses sequences of images from webcams as raw material, which remains constant in his basic focuses. He has traces of people and their vehicles come to appearance acoustically, but not visually. The shift from day to night and the influences of the weather give motion to the segments. In this way, in his shortest work NUUK, which lasts just over 6 minutes, he condenses a total of 3,000 individual web images taken from the Internet into one scene. Despite the cinematic motion of the image, it seems like a still photo.

Various - World Herding Championships Part 1 - 21-Dec-04 12:30 PM
6 artists where invited to play live and have their sets recorded for this 2 part special releases Sh038 / Sh040. For this event we looked at the musical possibilities and decided to make it an international affair. We have new and old artists from the UK, Japan and Netherlands. We start off with: New commer ‘SynnyS’ from the Netherlands, very deep bass builder, with nice funky percussion and a guitar riff that drifts you in, in a semi industrial string arrangement brings the entertainment at the rear! I would say this track has definet flavours towards Jeff Mills! Slovakia’s Supagrupa comes in second with his ruff edge techno simple distorted break with organ stabs that make it driving notherless. Kuniaki Takenawa brings to the Table a nice fat bass riff with pumping beats and treats. Again a very simple affair and very good Dj tool.
