Vox (6) - Innerpolarity - 05-Jun-07 02:37 PM
I thought that there is only stupid commercial music in Croatia (some disco crap or some slow romantic songs for drunken older women). This debut album shows me, that I was wrong. This release contains classical goa trance tracks with variety of melodies and mastering (of re-released and remastered version) is solid too. It isn’t much spiritual album, but really powerful and when you play Innerpolarity loud in your car or on the party, you won’t be disappointed and people around you too. The last track is the best.

Interesting compilation trying to revive classical goa trance. Sometimes you can hear, that this album wasnt made by established musicians, but I think these guys will improve. And we should be happy, that somebody still try to make true goa (for free), not only boring repetitive full-on sound (for earning money). My favourite tracks are Firebloom, surprisingly hard and minimal Detonation Device and of course In Love With A Goddes (Lost Buddha never disappoints).
Transwave - Backfire - 11-May-07 09:44 AM
Oh, Im so happy, that Transwave didnt come with some full-on release, but with this very nice oldschool collection. There is no doubt, that goa/psy style was better in nineties than nowadays, what a hypnotizing sound and rolling synths. When you listen to the first song with killer beats, you become sure, that this album is something special. Track Flamicogyre contains short error, but who cares - erare humanum est and the rest of the CD is almost perfect. One of best albums I know.

Beautiful piece of music from young tallented artists from around the world - a lot of invention, spirit and mysticique of ancient Egypt. This compilation reminds me oldschool goa trance music in 90s (Astral Projection, Pleiadians, Transwave), we got here melodies of golden era in modern package. Mastering (which is usually main problem of these free releases - yes, its really free) is perfect. Highly recommended. Goa never dies.
Pleiadians - Family Of Light - 11-May-07 05:49 AM
This release is very psychedelic, deep, but not so melodic as previous album I.F.O.(Identified Flying Object), I feel more undeground influences, somebody calls this mature sound, but I am not satisfied enough - maybe Im too commercial. I expected better album from Italian musical wizzards from Etnica/Pleiadians, where is their creativity? But among another psytrance releases is Family Of Light still good one.
