Reviews & Discussion: If you're out digging, and you find this one, get it; the cost will more than be covered by the first track: Disco Nights (Rock Freak). An absolute perfect disco song, there isn't a second in it that needs to be changed. Like a lot of my favorite disco songs it's poppy without overt cheese factor, with plenty of soul. An important feature is the subdued vocal mix, winding around a fullbodied disco-funk bassline, creating the foundation for the killer guitar hook: an instant kick in the pants. It's so killer that it became the main element of some house song"Lost, Not Found" is one of the most amazing songs I have ever accidentally found. Noisy, apocalyptic, channeling My Bloody Valentine wall of sound builds with clanky break, bleeds out to a jangly guitar 'solo' and you've got yourself a bi-polar monster. The flipside is not nearly as essential, but definitely gives a rewarding listen with some glitchy angular jazz edit.
