Inspired way back in the 80's by bands such as; Chris & Cosey, Nocturnal Emissions, Death In June, Front 242, Neon Judgement, Klinik, Stiff Kittens, Poesie Noire, Dive, Skinny Puppy, Coil, Siglo xx, etc, etc...there reached a time where we had to some how; "Play a part/Get involved/Contribute" and, create music with a style that would incorporate all of the above genres with a personalised approach...we started off with a band called 'Underconstruction', band members consisted of; Graham Parkinson: guitar & also was our head (only)engineer. Adam Marchbank on drums, Mark Kinghan; vocals, and Mike Rea (myself) on Bass. Style was alternative/postpunk, inspirations; The Sound', 'Hunters & Collectors', 'Red Lorry Yellow Lorry', 'Mediium Medium', 'Comsat Angels', 'Shreikback', etc, etc. The next project was Nazi Disco (formed 1993), now called Naz-Co...due to name being too controversual(bugger). Band Members; Mark Wallbank: Vocals, Keys, Drum Programming, etc, Rhys Braddock: Guitar. Mike Rea: (myself) Bass. The style here was more electro, and the inspirations amongst the band were: 'Front 242', 'Skinny Puppy', 'Revolting Cocks', etc, etc. At the same time i was working on a new project called Reflex Condition, we did only bedroom type recordings on an X15 fostex fourtrack...it was great to have the freedom of experimentation with the different instrumentation tools...lots of tape sampling, extensive delay on all acoustic drums, etc, etc. Now days we're still working on new Reflex condition music using mainly pc software & samples, etc ... check out the new track; 'Dicks Goodbody', enjoy.

Great DVD release, have watched several times over, and found this document to be a very compelling watch indeed, also a very interesting artist selection, encompassing many different genres which would satisfy nearly all music fans, regardless of where your interests lie within the musical spectrum, unfortunately though, Spex Quality Control forgot to normalize the separate Audio track levels, so one track will be so quiet you can hardly hear the thing, then suddenly the next track is so loud you have to quickly turn it down, hence a very annoying watch, other than this problem, its basically a good production!
Various - ctrl_alt_del - 14-Apr-09 06:19 PM
Some great artists included on this release, however found it to be a very disappointing watch, as 28 of these tracks are audio only, hence a real total waste of time producing in DVD format, why not produce a CD and include a couple of enhanced video tracks! So in other words, if you dont have home theatre hooked up to your telly, then your going to be subjected to listening to this disc with standard TV audio sound only, hence why bother?
Portion Control - Stansted - 07-Apr-09 12:07 AM
Great CD/DVD-R package, unfortunately the DVD is actually a DVD-R and, has one of those sticker/stomper labels attached to top, which you guessed it, bubbles after a while thus inhibiting playback, so one way to get around this frustrating problem is to scan stomper label, then peel off DVD-R, via soaking in a sink of warm water, once off and residue is removed, the format is then safe to transfer/copy to a printable DVD-R, when this stage is completed, apply scanned image (via CD/DVD Printer Software) and print, your Portion Control DVD-R should now play again in its entirety!
Revolting Cocks - Live! You Goddamned Son Of A Bitch - 27-May-08 07:41 AM
Really disappointed with the poor quality control from the UK division of Wax Trax, i finally managed to buy a copy of this on PAL format, only to discover that the last track; "No Devotion", had been chopped off from the end of the film, a real slack oversight i thought, its like you get to the end of; "Attack Sips On Fire", then the words; "No Devotion" appears on the screen, then suddenly the film stops, and thats your lot!
Various - Rock Rally '80 - 07-Dec-07 04:07 PM
This compilation i found to be an extremely compelling listen, full of twee wave rarities and little gems from the 80s that emits a sound hard to parallel on todays genre menus, based on this fact alone makes this release an essential "must have", and coming from the bottom of the planet; New Zealand, we find this style of document incredibly valuable and difficult to find, which is another reason why weve given this record such a positive review!
