19 years old, finished studying. Piano geek, computer geek and train geek. Until January 2006 I played in "Vejen Garden", a Danish marching band, with whom I won the World Championships in 2004 (http://www.wamsb.org/index.php...aID=showPage&pID=130 - we were placed number 4, the highest ranking in the non-pro class).
My rating system:
5: A perfect piece, no fault.
4: A very nice piece, mainly great songs, but a few mediocre.
3: A splendid piece, worth a few listens, but only now and then.
2: An album below average - find the piece online and buy the tracks you like digitally in stead of buying the whole piece.
1: A very bad piece, almost not worth the case!

Kate Nash - Made Of Bricks - 30-Nov-07 01:57 PM
I am not happy about it, but I simply cant rate this release higher than 2/5. The intention about the album is great, but when I listened through the whole album I got an unwell feeling. The album is 12 versions of the same track with the same cliché lyrics, and suddenly it strikes me! Could Kate Nash be Lily Allens sister, niece or something like that? Kate Nash is a total ripoff of Lily Allens music, lyrical content and partly voice. Actually bordering on plagiarism. One of my biggest music disappointments in 2007. Not only because of her consistent Lily Allenism, but also because this type of music and lyrics has been heard so damn often before, and it really isnt that good.
Saybia - Eyes On The Highway - 17-Oct-07 02:36 PM
Although hyped as "the to date best album by Saybia", I dont really think the album is so brilliant. Compared to earlier Saybia releases, it consists of the same "whine rock" which Saybia is renowned by. "Angel" has been played far too much on the radio, but people for some reason love Syabia, and have bought "Eyes On The Highway", despite of bad reviews. The general quality of the tracks has decreased from earlier albums, which is why I cant rate the album higher than "mediocre". Sorry Saybia, you are losing the grip, you have had your heyday, it will not come to you again.
Trentemøller - The Pølar Mix - 10-Aug-07 12:03 AM
Although not an official release, it is still very awesome. It contains the legendary Radio 1 Essential Mix of October 15, 2006 performed by Anders Trentemøller, cleaned and remastered to get rid of radio noises and so on (which increases the listening experience further). A brilliant tracklist personally chosen by Trentemøller, Anders chose the tracks in a fabulous way. Usually I dont spend money on unofficial crap, but this CD was worth every coin - brilliant music from first to last!
Natasja - 25-Jun-07 11:57 AM
Natasjas pass-away was a big loss for the Danish reggae scene. Especially because it happened in the middle of her break-through which was right after her debut album "Release". Recently she won a Jamaican reggae contest, being the first non-Jamaican ever to win it, which furthermore shows what big talent she possessed. You will be missed, both in Denmark, and certainly also internationally, both for your own works, but also for your great contnributions in Runes works (a.o. Calabria 2007) etc. Rest in peace!
Mike Sheridan (2) - Alt & Intet - 12-Feb-07 09:32 PM
On "Alt & Intet", Mike gives us three very high quality tracks, despite he is only 15 years old. A1 - "Alt & Intet": The title track is a wonderful deep track with dubby elements in it. The track is special, with the basic beat being a dark, angry and hypnotic mono-groove topped off with little trippy melodies. This track is ideal for the late-night relaxing moments. A2 - "Barcelona": The second track makes a wonderful opposotion to A1. Beautiful is the word you need, when you are to describe this subtle experience. The deepness of this piece will make you dreamy and lifted off-ground. B1 - "Alt & Intet (Tom Clark Remix)": Tom Clark has been put on the remix duties for "Alt & Intet", and as on his own tracks, he doesnt let us down with this bumping piece of a track. Guaranteed to put a big fat smile on your face. This is nice, this is really nice! Sheridan is predicted to be Denmarks next international minimal artist!
