Profile: Hi everyone and thanks for the help with the new kitchen. Now the wife wants the garden done so feel free to buy all my old tunes:-)

I try to keep it simple: you order, you pay, I send, you receive. Parcels are strong and usually new though I do recycle from time to time. Regarding Paypal, I'd rather just send you the total & the account to pay into rather than a Paypal invoice. I just think it can leave people open to phishing. If you insist though, I'll send one.

Also, I try to keep the price down but with everyone undercutting each other like possessed salesdroids, I don't always have time to monitor every single tune to stay competitive. Either way, I'll listen to offers on most records.

If you experience a problem that I'm unaware of - communicate. There are ways to complain which may get you better results - kicking off isn't one of them. I'll usually come up with a win-win solution if you're reasonable:-)

Reviews & Discussion:

Very surprised this one hasn't been reviewed so far. Back in 2003 (to 2006) I ran an independent record shop in the North Laines (sic) of Brighton. Whenever the hard house posse came in (ie late Saturday afternoon if we were lucky), we'd spin this one, loud, and make a disproportionately large amount of sales. Seriously, if you're into that Dynamic Intervention/Glazby thing, you should have this at the top of your shopping list. Extraordinarily Phat!!
I suppose I'm lucky enough to have been to a few 'Superfish' (& Crash) events to qualify for a review on this one. 'Street Tab' was - well, it was like Eastenders or Coronation Street is to TV peeps - a staple tune and a fat as f*ck staple tune at that. Very basic in terms of production it still managed to get the whole crowd grinning at each other & saying 'oi oi, here we go then, it's that time again'. Maybe in this case the combination of Johnny Newell and Capt Bell just created something outside the box. Classic tune either way.
It's been a while since I heard this but if I remember rightly, this was a seriously serious E track of it's time. Squelchy handclaps and kick kick kick drums, yes, it's coming back to me now - twisted, that's how it was described at the time, twisted. Takes you there, slowly, but in the end, does it's job. Favoured 10" format too, just try to ignore the cheesy German (in English) vocal samples, they don't last too long. Buy at some point and see for yourself.
Well, what can you say about this hard house gem? Back in 1991 a little known producer pairing called 'The Future Sound Of London' (or in this case 'Smart Systems') knocked out a hardcore tune called 'Tingler'. It was pretty in line with the moment and well known to the lucky undergrounders that heard it on a regular basis. Fast forward to 2002 and Karim has wisely decided to rehash it at exactly the right moment second time around, just with far more persuasive kicks and elegant stabs throughout. In hard house terms - a masterpiece of theft!
OK, Impossible Trigger is the A side but, as often seen, isn't always the killer track - that, hands down, belongs to 'Borg Destroyer'. I originally used this in a 1996 demo that was lifted straight from a pirate radio station live mix - the feedback was pretty straightforward - play this again & again & again! I'm not one for describing a tune in terms that musos understand to be honest but the punters definitely called this one euphoric despite the techno undertones. I'd be inclined to agree - underrated classic!
Personally speaking of course, I think we're lucky to have this little slice of British gay scene mid-afternoon summer madness. The Jay Chappell half is a thumping (mainly) progressive set but, although excellent, pales in comparison to Martin Confusions brutal selection of chunky-arsed maximum-Tradesque hard house beauties. True, the mixing isn't spot on but believe me, this only improves the overall analog/real-life feel of what it must have been like in that tent:-) Martin Confusion, wherever you are - take a bow!
