Fingers Inc. - I'm Strong - 23-Nov-05 04:06 AM
An outstanding piece of house music from the great Larry Heard, with its weird processed beats it was way ahead of its time (when people were listening to Italo piano house). Robert Owens gives a great performance as well. A Highly collectable record for good reason.

Modesty - Mind Fly - 23-Nov-05 12:58 AM
Extremely minimal and repetitive, this track is a lost classic
from the early days of ambient techno. I have to report that you either love or hate this record, as some people really dont enjoy its slightly overloaded quality.

This Heat - This Heat - 14-Jun-05 04:35 AM
This Heat were a unique band mixing punk attitude with progressive tendencies, English whimsy with German experimentalism. This album, compiled from studio sessions and live cassettes, captures their early incandescence. 24 track loop develops the tape loop technique, Horizontal Hold is reminiscent of Robert Wyatt and Fall of Saigon is a mournful ode to the ambassadors cat, with Bullens guitar echoing the work of Michael Karoli. In fact the influence of Can and Faust can be felt throughout, tere certainly werent many UK bands this far out. Not for the faint hearted, This Heat were a howl of rage against society, more catharsis than showbiz. A legendary album.

HAT - 13-Apr-05 12:11 AM
A true supergroup, pitting ambient otaku Tetsu and the multitalented Snr Coconut against the Godfather of Japanese electronica. As you might imagine the results are some of the tweakiest and most processed electronica yet heard, music with the ability to make you fall off your bicycle.

Jah Wobble / Jaki Liebezeit / Holger Czukay - How Much Are They ? - 15-Mar-05 03:35 AM
A classic of early 80s alternative music, the heavy Wobble bass fitting like a glove with Czukays dub experiments, if Lee Perry had been born in Prenzlauerberg this is what he would have sounded like. This is also the track sampled on the controversial Marcello/Derrick May 12" ...amongst others!
