"Blow Your Head" is not the well known dancefloor bomb version with the synthesizer, but rather a stripped out laid back version that cannot be recognized as "Blow Your Head" in any way. It starts with a beat and stays instrumental thougout the entire song."Mindpower" is the usual James Brown funky stuff where they keep on chanting "What It Is Is What It Is". there is not much more to tell about this release but a review needs atleast 75 words.
When this album came out I allready was into chemicalbeats music (that's how we called this kind of acid based breakbeatmusic in Netherlands). I gatherd a fair bit of chemicalbeats records but most of the tunes on this album blew them all away and I felt ashamed that I didn't know most of them allready. The album was constantly in my recordbag and I played songs from it wherever I could. I was so crazy about it that I now have almost all of them on original 12"... and they still do the job well! Timeless!

As far as I know this is the only record that carries the version of "Traveling At The Speed Of Thought" known from the videoclip with the kraftwerk loop. Unfotunately this pressing is very bad with a lot of noise althrough the record. The versions of "Traveling At The Speed Of Thought" are a very low volume which makes this record hardly usable. The B-side has more volume but still sounds lo-fi and the only playable version is "A Chorus Line" which is pressed loud enough to surpress the noise. Still it lacks a lot in the high frequencys.
Beïng a drum'n'bass dj for over 10 years, this is one of my alltime favorite 12"s. Both sides can only be described as pure evil and are deadly dancefloorkillers which provide a highlight during any drum'n'bass dj set. Just drop either one of the tunes while your in front of a dnbhungry crowd and you know what I mean.
Good quality productions that stand out in originality. Prince Abooboo was a dutch one-day-fly who won "The Great Price for best dance act" in 1998. Shake It is what makes this record a gemm... a higly dancable tune with elvis (like) vocals and a catchy acidline that still shakes up dancefloors and parties today. Thank you very much... thank you.
