Respect to the old house trance techno and acid genres!

I also have a lot of old house, ambient, trance acid and techno from mainly 93-98 all quality choons.

A lot of my collection is for sale and stored safely in self storage, but can be listed once
I find it for you here to buy if you like.

Although a fair few of my favourite old clubbing memories are not so please get in touch anyway if you see something.

I started with house music and progressed with musical appreciation through each of the above genres.

PLS contact with stuff in my wantlist, although I would prefer a sound sample first to check.

Many of my wants come from old mix tapes, old DJ comments, and of course, nights out !

Priority UK Discogs people first !

Starting to buy cd's now as well because I
think people charge too much for a lot of rare vinyl so I'm happy just to listen/play a track now after 10 years on any format.

Peace

Matrix (8) - Just U & Me - 28-Feb-09 11:20 AM
One of the best Chocis Chewns acid trance/hard house releases and that is saying something from that amazing label.

One track is great solid acid trance not techno with a hard house edge moving along at high NRG levels, with rushing "energy ray" sounds and an eerie vocal and squelchy 303 thrown in for good measure.

Flip the other side to be graced with a more refined, relaxed but quality hard house track combining halfway in with a cracking, dirty, squirmy breakdown sound to make you rush and sweat again; wriggling its way through your mind right to the end of the tune!

Real hands in the air stuff.

This sonic diamond comes from legendary electronic artist, Andy Allder who has mixed, tweaked and mastered many an acid trance and hard house classic over the years.

Oakenfold* - Perfecto Fluoro - 22-Mar-08 11:44 AM
A deluxe taste of Paul Oakenfolds mid nineties musical trance style coupled with a few tunes from his own label Perfecto Fluoro.

Its a shame his music essence and style has now changed as I still think this is probably some of his best tune selection over 10 years on.

Impressive, profound progressive trance with a hint of emotional film soundtrack ending with a drums and bass edge combine to create a fantastic ecstatic journey.

Conjuring up the past is not such a bad trip after all.

Lovely jubbly !

No Artist - Die Gesänge Der Buckelwale - 10-Dec-07 10:02 AM
Beautiful, eerie and haunting underwater whale song sounds from the sea.

These animals are definitely on a completely different level and command a superior intelligence. Real sound communication at its most advanced level !

This was a field recording so if captured in the moment what an experience this must have been at sea listening to these fascinating sounds.

Listen and wonder, can and will we ever understand these fragile endangered species ?

This German CD reissue from the original "Songs of the Humpback Whale LP" is the one to have for sound clarity.

Dr. Octopus - Dr. Octopus - 20-Aug-07 04:02 PM
Possibly one of Henry Cullens AKA D.A.V.E. the Drummer finest acid techno trance moments ! This really must be right out there. A blistering, pulsing underground journey with sick, energetic, adrenalin fuelled 303s and 909s and lots of sweet, twisting, tinkering sounds.

It really does feel that a Dr. Octopus with all its arms and legs has psychically reached into your brain and squeezed it all about.

Been lucky enough to hear it many years ago on a fat sound system and well, what a powder keg this tune really is !

Final Fantasy - Sometimes I See Your Mind E.P. - 05-Aug-07 06:45 AM
Beautiful old German trance and hard trance.

Final Fantasy are better known as Komakino and although many might consider their anthems "Controlling Transmission and Outface" to be their best releases I would also strongly recommend listening to this EP as well.

It contains some astonishing, tingling, eerie ambient synths and vocal samples layered over quality trance basslines.

The piano lines on the "Sky is in your Hands" sounds so delicate and timeless at the same time.

The other 2 tracks are also radiant gems and project your mind into an unreal, dreamlike state you wont want to leave anytime soon!
