Si Begg - Director's Cut - 13-Sep-04 11:31 PM
Great blend of techy breaks and dancehall attitude, but with deep house sensibilities, a sense of humour, and all brilliantly produced. Great noises. Standout tracks are Moveup, Inflight and Grind.

TNT (3) - Feel It - 03-Jul-04 12:50 AM
A bumpin collage of all the classic house samples..."Feel It", "Come On", "Wooo", "Haaa". Sounds a bit weedy on a hifi but hits hard on a decent system.

Ultra-Sonic - Annihilating Rhythm - 20-May-04 04:21 AM
Cheesy? Yes. Ass-kicking? Yes.

Starts with a standard breakbeat and horsey-horsey bassline, then drops. Enter a piano and then a slowed breakbeat which gets faster and faster until it all ass-kicks back in again and the crowd go mental! Reminds me of the Ritzy in Newcastle circa 94.

Fila Brazillia - Maim That Tune - 26-Apr-04 06:31 AM
Between track 5 & 6 is a breakdown, over which is a long Bill Hicks skit. "If youre in advertising...kill yourself. No seriously!" . For more of the same, track down his Arizona Bay album.

p.s. Fila Brazilia are the unsung heroes of trip hop, and long may they continue to produce amazing albums!

Wagon Christ - Ataride / Tomorrow Acid - 07-Mar-04 06:05 AM
The standout track here is Ataride, which sounds like old skool hardcore but with a sense of irony. Theres an awesome bass guitar funk-fuelled breakdown in the middle. Rides like a Raleigh Chopper.
