'Tek a pill'
Why dont you!!??

Man! This is intelligent Dubstep, inna pill inducing way!!!!

I know....I've sampled it!

This is 'skreamer's' brain and spirit thats produced such a psychological bass warping record that u know that he's obviously dabbled in illicit substances to be able to produce such a tune!
must be Mdma? Lol.
Im old school like happy shopper BUT i used to hear stuff like this in my brain when I was on drugs and wished I could replicate whats going on and get it onto a computer!that was 1992 Spiral Tribe!
this IS NOW!!! top fashion!
This shit is wickked!!
But..
Can..
You..
Handle it!?
Skream! You up there,hit or
no hit!!!
Peace out bro!:)

Twenty four bumbaclot! Floor dem!
I've slept on dubstep for too long now, you hear!
But then again I am a serious fan of turntablism (D-Styles- murder dub)and old school bleeps and bass (Hi-Ryze,LFO etc) so I guess I shall be forgiven.
I must this say from the start that this is a heavily murderous sound.
Jesus wept! What a monster of a tune from beginning to end. That heavy clap with the staggered old school jungle beats is a must in itself but when you add that acidick vibration, shit goes hectic.
I cant explain it properly but what I can say is that this music and sonic acidity circumnavigates my mind and warps it outta shape nicely.
Key wise certain parts of this track are like Shostakovich, The great Russian composer, on acid or even darker Ketamin. Ohhh the sound you would love to hate? But you cant!

Check out all releases by this badman and shock out!

Sound of the darkest residents in the United Kingdom doing what they do best.

Keeping the dark alight!

Hold tight rude bwoyz and girls

This is an early and very good compilation of psychedelic soul from the eccentric Sly Stone.
I picked this record up in a charity shop the other day for £1 and judging by the album cover I believed that it was going to be a live album from a show in SanFrancisco. To my great surprise and relief it wasnt.
Some really good mind bending soul with the up tight Sly twist.
If you like your break beats head straight for Rock Dirge as this is one monster of a beat!
This beat is easy to loop and is a real pounder of a beat that hasnt really been sampled too heavily.
I think it may have been sampled by the hardcore rave breakbeat heros of mine Genaside II but i'll have to check.
A break beat for the ones who know.
Classic!
"Very Strange"!
What a beautiful tune this is. Strange yes! BUT not a stranger!
It opens up with an epic and masterfull piece of near on 'classical music' in its string arrangement and orientation plus equally its very ethereal sounding. The keys sample 'Disintergrators- Dark black omninous clouds' and how these guys do it is clever!
I can only compare the intensity of this sound to the last few bars of the end of the track highlights by 'Underground Resistances track'-'final Frontier'.
This soundscape builds up and washes away like the tide of the sea, swirling around the head with a almost 'mdma' experience but with a natural vibe!
With this comes the very deep and penetrating echoing bass that is the signifyer of much things to come...
The vocal "very strange" that is again sampled from 'Disintergrator's- dark black ominous clouds' layers the bass and the ethrealness of the tune to introduce the rolling but chopped amen breaks that doesn't for one second hold back.
The bass and the drums take over in true fashion by this 'stable' of production, hard but then comtemplative.
To me this is very emotional and 'other worldly' that takes me somewhere very special everytime.
Maybe I'm just a hippy but this works for me on every level as it's still got that 1993 sound without being 'overly produced' 1994 stuff.
I feel this should be up there with "Oyasis's - Dark secrets"
Buy it and enjoy!
Do you like really hard bass driven darkside?
Do you like the kind of bass that when you spin this record the whole crowd warps out in a frenzied tribal stomp?
Well this is for you!
To the discoggers who already have this mentally dark groove then I probably cannot say anything that they don't already know themselves!
If you haven't got this, what happened? You're either too young at the time, no put down intended or you was brain dead, fool!
Anyway putting that aside this 12" is heavy, heavy heavy!
Firstly I would like to say that I am not even going to tell you the name of the track as that would spoil the excitement when it finally arrives at your door!
Just buy it on sight, right.
What I can say is that this track summed up alot of things in my mind at the time as to where the scene was going. The drugs got darker as the early nineteen nineties did and in turn so did the raving scene.
Ordinary people just like you and I became more and more negative about the state of the country as regards to the political situation.
This and many other tunes of that period took that pain away adding a positive out look on life or just plainly speaking saying f*ck it I've had enough.
This tune starts off quite melodic and lifting until the amen breakbeat kicks in.Next to follow is the bass and what a bass it is too.
The beat gains momentum as the energy increases and then with out a warning the vocal sample "bass" sampled from an old hip hop record by Mc Ade kicks in and then all hell is let loose.
The bass ups the pace with such a severe deep gnarling that It has scared some people half to death.
This is warped core to the extreme and should really come with a government health warning but then again do recreational drugs?
This type of tune reminds me of a dj back in the day called j-bass a guy from High Wycombe who could really rock a party!
Man where is this guy? Jason are you out there?
Dark, dark, dark with an extra special dark for good measure....
The Assailant's "I'll Give You Something To Scream About" does just that!
No messing around it does exactly what it say's on the tin!
What tin exactly I dont know? I suppose it depends on your own preference/tipple!...
Raging hard beats with bad,bad basslines moves non stop like a de-railed freight train on a collision with a 1993 badboy on the hard stuff.
This was definately the hard way sound for 1993 and the underground sound that said 'F*ck it' to the Piano based 'Blandness' of the crap 'Happy Hardcore' sound that went before them... And sadly pre-ceded them!
Buy this record and keep the darkside alive because the true following needs your support!
Tommy Roe - Sweet Pea Feb 07, 2008
Tommy Roe's track Sweet pea contains one of the most amazing, if not obscure beat breaks known to man (sorry abit over the top!).
Usually beats are 'dug up' and sampled from the 'usual (genre) suspects' Funk,Soul and Rock etc.
So,as you can imagine it came as a complete surprise to me when I bought this little gem in an old charity shop for 50 pence.
The opening beats are sharp, hard, rolling and metallic in sound and I instantly knew which group had sampled it.
The most notable one has to be a track by "Dj Chuck Chillout & Kool Chip-Im Large" a great rap record from the late eighties.
Its a reletively easy beat to loop and sounds fresh even without effects.
The actual tune itself is actually not bad!
It's a real cheesy pop ditty that always makes the crowd laugh when I play it.
It also makes the break spotters sit up and take notice when that break beat kicks in.
Go seek this great 7" out, its not rare but the break is!
I must say that this indeed is a mystery as regards to the origin of the artist? But after further research (and I do hope that this shall not throw this mystery into further chaotic misfindings), I have noticed that this artist Dr. York has produced a track called - Shake-N-Skate. (apologies) Dis-regarding said artist I have noticed that even though the artist's track was produced in the Netherlands it was also recorded and mixed at Power Station Studios, NYC. I do not know if this is a new lead, but as there appears to be two Jungle Jam record lables(!) and hopefully they are the same (check!), I feel that we may be closer to the truth.(pause) hopefully?
As regards to the track 'well franklie my son', I bought this from Hitman records, just off Oxford street London in 1990. I loved the track as it was similar to Derrick May's 'The Rhythm'. The bassline and simple beats made both of these tracks a delight to listen, over and over again. Now,I'll probably get slated as I find this sound quite limited as technology moves on. But as an avid collector who wants this track I will still admire their class choice in records.

This particular release from Julian Cobb is like some of his other releases, Hit and miss.
When this guy is switched on He's as hot as Volcanic lava but when He's having an off day for example when He decides to release a track just because He can, He's definately not.
So okay the track which samples the vocal from Double Dee and Steinski's - history of hip hop, lessons 1,2,3 'The message is, Mars needs women' is funky for its bassline but for me that's as far as it gets. The production is so limited and sparse compared to his other more intense productions that it all becomes too repeatingly bland after 12 bars.
As for the other track, yes its got some cold vocal samples but He has used them more effectively in his later release 'Comming on dark ep' which in my opinion is much more fluid in its production and also alot darker. If you want cold and dark productions by this man may I suggest 'Volume 2', 'Fresh vegetable ep' and the aformentioned 'Comming on dark ep'.
These are some of the true classics from Julian Cobb and a darn sight cheaper! But! Then again I'm probably sounding like a whinging old 35 (Like I am-lol) and need to get my head out of 1992 etc! Anyway see for yourself, but please get a soundclip before purchasing, because if you're a die hard fan of proper 'HARD' Hard core you may be disappointed.
What a totally classic tune that has had and still does put a smile on my face.
This track contains one of the most happily infectious tb 303 acid lines ever. Also a good thing to bear in mind is that at the time this track was released alot of other tracks that you would hear with an acid sound ,9 times out of 10 would be pretty dark sounding, but coupled with the tight old school electro beat programming made this purely energetic without being particulary fast.
Another factor that made this such a great track to dance to was the up lifting melodic strings, the sort of strings that you could lose yourself in on the dance floor. In my opinion this is a classic tune of anthemic proportions! If you haven't heard this tune (in all its various mixes) seek it out, you won't be diappointed!
