I never comment these days but i feel i have too with regards to this man.

Honour Kill is my undisputed number 1 track released in dubstep...it has a horrifying atmosphere and the way hes combined the interesting world instruments on both sides of this 12" in fact i would say is second to none.

I also love the metallic snarerushes that only occur twice during honour kill..

Gamma is savage as well but doesnt compare to honour kill for me.

I cant wait for the follow up...1 record is just not enough from someone of such talent...amazing!

Phoenecia - Randa Roomet - 20-Apr-03 09:02 AM
Excellent release from the now Schematic based Phoenecia. I started listening to this again after hearing the wonderful "Sunset Condor" from the warp compilation "Magic Bus Tracks".
Thong is great to listen to on headphones as is the whole thing.
Wonder why Warp didnt try and hold on to this guy?
Perhaps they did.

Various - The Cosmic Forces Of Mu - 07-Apr-03 12:03 PM
This is indeed a truly awesome compilation - and so varied too. The list of outstanding tracks is endless - Kettel - Buxom Berceuse - gorgeous strings and pretty production. Doormouse skelechairs snares remix - woah!!!. Venetian Snares defluxion is amazingly powerful and probably Tim Tetlows best track in cyrenic.

Hrvatski - Swarm & Dither - 26-Feb-03 01:02 PM
The track Vatstep DSP is actually the closing track from the kid606 album "down with the scene".
Although this version would appear to have been remastered to clean it up and make the sounds pop out of the speakers but also with quite different bias towards the sound sources, this is particularly apparent at about the 4m30secs mark where a distinct melody is far clearer than previously.

Tim Tetlow - Beauty Walks A Razor's Edge - 26-Feb-03 12:51 PM
This really is the prettiest of albums.
If only this guy would release music again, rumour has it he has such a good and well paid job that he cant be bothered to make music anymore.
Alpha emotion is sublime to listen to, pulsing 303 style synths over a delicious melody capable of evocating many chilhood memories. Mind is moving has one of the most smile inducing tunes ive heard (in a melancholic way)
Muddy road has very different, interesting sounds providing the backbone of the song.
If this guy released more stuff he would be most welcome.
