KLF, The - Chill Out - 24-Mar-05 03:17 AM
Formed by Scottish situationist Jimmy Cauty & former Echo And The Bunnymen manager Bill Drummond, back in the day, they recorded this masterpiece of soft-focus ambience.Behind a cover depicting a flock of sheep grazing in a field was a trippy mix of pastoral sounds,Elvis samples, african throat singers, preachers and,of course, bleating sheep.Inspired by the space cadet noodlings of Pink Floyd but filtered through post-1988 technological advances,Chill Out-and its semi-successor,theSpacealbum-is still the ultimate comedown album.
Creative Thieves - Nasty Rhythm - 18-Jan-05 04:29 PM
This Stress release came from the Creative Thieves, aka Brothers In Rhythm.Sasha provided his epic MFI mix and Shaboo Trance for the remix 12",which also included Phil Kelseys PKA intropella (the original release,by the way, featured the PKA mix, original inspiration mix and additional track Throw Down).

Never On Sunday - Decay - 18-Jan-05 06:03 AM
Released in 1991,this is one of Mark Kinchens only techno records. An anthem at Rage,it was played as much by Fabio and Grooverider as Colin Dale and Favor.Whether by accident or design, this massively influential record helped establish MK as one of the leading producers in dance music today.
Evolution - Came Outa Nowhere - 16-Jan-05 03:55 AM
Impressed with a young Sasha, Evolution invited him into the studio for his very first remix gig, with engineering assistance from Mark Stag.Came Outta Nowherewas orginally put out on promo entitled Sashas sweet mix, although it was actually pressed up as Sashas take me higher mix,due to its large uplifting breakdown.
Galaxy 2 Galaxy - Galaxy 2 Galaxy - 14-Jan-05 08:48 AM
Still urs best track,Hi-Tech Jazztemporarily marked a move away from aggressive militancy into the realms of star sailing cosmology-a place they would return to often.Universally adored, and a big crossover hit.
