Oxia - Speicher 34 - 02-Oct-06 02:12 AM
And hes not the first; check Linus Quick, Tri-State on Elektronische Musik (Traum Schallplatten); first time I heard it I thought it to be a remix of my beloved Eve By Day... Same break in the middle, same everything... Chardronnet stays King, every time I hear his brilliant track he convinces me over and over! How many more covers will follow?
Lo-Fidelity Allstars - How To Operate With A Blown Mind - 26-May-04 02:18 AM
This is not one of those boring cliché bigbeat releases! Tracks range from filthy, heavy, sleazy P-funk (Will I Get Out Of Jail) to stomping filtered vocoderdisco (Lazer Sheep Dip Funk)and even a goosepimpling beautiful Hammond-driven loungy yet pitchdark ballad (Nightime Story)...This one definitely survived the hype!
Electronicat - Amour Salé - 13-Dec-03 04:59 AM
Dark & sleezy. According to Roy Avni, the man behind the ElectroNation-parties, Amant Salé is the best "Tainted Love" cover ever. And he should know for hes a heavy SoftCell lover and hes got about 400 Tainted Love-covers. Mark the dark & sexy grinding (typically electronicat-)sound over the French(!) lyrics which makes this song hardly recognizable as such...
Northern Lite - My Pain - 03-Aug-03 04:04 PM
the album version might be a rather down-to-earth bare-stripped neowave electrorocksong, with the monosurround remix the robots take over and turn it into an interstellar acid-driven floorfiller.
