I was a moderator for the better part of 4+ years, and am about as thorough of a submitter as you will come across. Wherein the problem lies, is the inconsistency of some people that work behind the scenes on Discogs (not you nik). So even though there have and will always be "changes in the pipeline," I still am pretty up on how things are supposed to work around here.

Please don't SPAM me, as we are resellers and are not interested in buying any titles.

Erasure - Nightbird - 04-Mar-05 04:59 AM
This may stand out as one of their strongest releases to date. And, I liked "Loveboat," & "Cowboy," holds too many
personal meanings to list here.

Anyhow, it harkens back to some of sonic soundscapes of 1995s "Erasure," which is kind of ironic, as Vince solely used software in the arrangement and recording of this album. This is of course, a deviation from his standard analog synth roots. Even still the music and especially Andys vocals come across even more soulful than ever. I really believe that his delivery is what makes or breaks many an Erasure track.

"Breathe," is truly a beautiful tune, and I cant figure out the reason why I cant get it out of my head. Ive been listening to it non-stop since the album came out. With the additional background vocals of Jill Walsh, it again brings Andys full vocal range to the surface. You can sense the duality of angst/relief in his voice, while listening to the heartfelt lyrics. This track is a must listen for anyone who has ever been in a situation where they were struggling with the decision whether to stay or go, whatever that may be. Listen to it a few times, and youll probably get what I am speaking of. Yeah, Im really a sap at heart.

Including the aforementioned "Breathe," the standout tracks are:

"Here I Go Impossible Again"
"Ill Be There"
"Because Our Love Is Real"
"All This Time Still Falling Out Of Love"
"Sweet Surrender"
