Born in 1962, active as DJ between 1979 and 1983. After all these years I still prefer the rougher and more bumping funky disco tracks of these days. Although these mostly US American releases were hard to get in Europe I was and I am still after them.
Right now I am expanding my musical taste to both sides of the timeline, towards Northern Soul and House.
Yes, it's me
And I still think Disco Boogie is great music

Junior Giscombe* - Step Off - 03-Nov-08 01:46 PM
The A-Side of Step Off with vocals from Junior and the voice of Nuff Juice is somewhat similar to Junior biggest success "Mama Used To Say" and even more "Communication Breakdown" from 1983. Of course there are new elements in the song, but it's a solid Junior track.
The really big thing is the B-Side, Step Off (The Boogie Pella), an instrumental track. It's an awesome rhythm-break-boogie monster. Put the Incredible Bongo Band in a rocket to the nineties and you will probably get a similar result. It's a real dancefloor killer, rhythm is king.
