Plastikman - Sheet One - 19-Jan-04 08:27 AM
THE definitive minimal acid album which introduced a huge amount of people to the underground techno phenomenon. All about continuous, subtling changing percussion, and drifting, warping 303 acid lines that never get disturbingly squelchy like so many who tried to follow. Sickeningly repetitive, with just enough to keep the ear tickled so that it doesnt get bored, and very long slow buildups that eventually explode into a liquid dancers fantasy land, this album will live in dance music infamy forever.

Luke Vibert - YosepH - 17-Jan-04 06:10 PM
This is largely a collection of acid tracks that have steadily been collecting dust as they got rejected from Viberts previous albums because labels think the 303 is tired... they were wrong. These tracks are unique and forward thinking, and the album is nicely textured so that you dont take it all in on the first listen, and becomes increasingly addictive with each pass.

Amen Andrews - Volume 01 - 17-Jan-04 06:03 PM
This is the first in this series of "Back in the day..." drum & bass by Mr. Vibert. Great amen work and Viberts classic use of clever samples, and gritty basslines make this series the best drum & bass of the moment. Collect them all!

Plug - Drum 'n' Bass For Papa - 17-Jan-04 05:57 PM
THE best drum & bass album EVER! Simply mindblowing. Every minute is a suprise with a treat around every corner. The layers of twisted breaks and jazzy atmospheres, combined with hip hop samples and electronic trickery all gel together and firmly plant this album into drum & bass legendry.

Purveyors Of Fine Funk - Love Faze - 17-Jan-04 05:24 PM
Top notch deep and funky house. The A side is great, but I See You Come Alive is a dancefloor filler using every trick in the book.
