awesome, the best british hip hop i`ve heard, he may not be the tightest rapper in the world, but he`s got a great message and would be a great poet. the way he plays himself down adds to the character, and the lack of swearing and americanisms highlight the areas in which british hip hop has been failing in for so long. some of the music behind is not upto the same high standard, but tracks like juggle tings proper and clockwork are rockin, as for the rendition of motion 5000, thats a true masterpiece. a shining light for british hip hop, shame he blew with the second album.
this is not easy listenning! some of the tracks like incarceration are truly disturbing and others like a piece of monologue are enough to turn you insane if you are listenning at the wrong moment. however this is the "deepest" album in my collection and given the concentration it deserves, it should leave you breathless.i haven`t heard anything that comes close to scanners sound, he`s a true original, and shouldnt be written off as a weird modern artist.
my favourite techno mix album of all time, even bettering jeff mills live at the liquid room. having seen this guy dj live i know he`s capable of some of the insane mixing heard on this album. he makes some very ordinary techno tracks become absolute monsters, and gives the listener a great introduction to detroit techno. it is also a must for all those upcoming techno dj`s as it shows how the music can sound when you put in the time and effort to bring out something new in a track. the way he mashes up `mirage` is truly a tour de force.
a bit of a disappointment this one. a couple of good tracks but on the whole not upto his very usual very high standards. however if your a fan its worth buying, but dont expect endtroducing part 2

an excellent chill out album, that brings traditional japanese music to life in a very modern way. a few dodgy tracks later on butthe first three tracks are worth the asking price alone.
