Mohlao - Ambrose - 13-Feb-09 02:21 PM
This is an awesome release. A drift of emotions founded in a beautiful "12. Meanwhile records made in my opnion a mistake to release the Quantec series on their label. Before they were top notch, every output was so right on the spot. Fortunately they've lose one way temporarily and they make up with two awesome ambient driven techno material from Bvdub & Mohlao.
But this release from Mohlao is standing above everything.
The a-side Ambrose is just a package of Ekman emotions. The simmering sound is so beautiful you can feel any of the seven cross-cultural emotions. This is for me A universal sound.
A sound that puts our mind on a rest.

And what about the B-side? Individual is so tense it can break any minute trough the switches between a ominous haunt sound and a reassuring babysong. Again Mohlao succeeded in creating a song that can switch your feelings any minute.

Anyway, every time I put the start button I think:
The best is yet to come, because it is getting me under my skin.
