Junior Boys - The Dead Horse E.P. - 26-May-07 02:27 AM
Carl Craig has a run with his Remixes-besides the Faze Action and the Goldfrapp+the new one called "Don't laugh"-but this Remix from Junior Boys "Like a Child" is C2 at his best. He waits 3 and a half minutes, where the vocals are ruling and then he fucks my head with his trademark-sounds, like the sharp claps and the sexy Bassline. He played an extended version of it at Panoramabar/Berlin at Sunday afternoon (16.00) and the hole bunch just went nuts! This Remix stands out of his Backcatalouge-like the X-Press 2, Throbbing Gristle and the Remix of "Relevee". A must have!!
Michael Mayer & Reinhard Voigt / Davidovitch - Speicher 36 - 24-Feb-07 04:30 AM
The best Speicher 12" since then. Davidovitch with a chicagoesk Clubsmasher with a soft Ravesignal and M.Mayer/R.Voigt with a dubby starter with an huge Ravesignal.Still the most outstanding Speicher E.P. Both sides are serious Killers for different times of the night.
Redshape - Alone On Mars? - 20-Feb-07 11:10 AM
Redshape on his own label Present in limited green vinyl. Like "The Playground" this is a serious killer too. "Alone on Mars" is a melancholic techno track, which makes shivers down your spine. Absolutly outstanding fresh sounds with a vintage feel. His releases on his own imprint are even better than the great Styrax Leaves or Delsin stuff. More please!!
Add Noise - Handwerk - 31-Jan-07 12:51 AM
Killer Release in the Soundhack/Errorsmith or MMM Tradition. From Donna Summer to Lee "Scratch" Perry over early Detroit Techno (Carl Craig) on one EP side. Very limited stuff from the Earsugar Boss.
2000 And One* - Finite State EP - 06-Dec-06 05:08 AM
Deepest reverb drenched Detroit meets Basic Channel influenced Techno. 2000 and one is a class of its own. Styrax Leaves is a wet dream for Record lovers. Limited and in beautiful grey marbled Vinyl. I want to collect them all.
