David Guetta - Grrrr - 21-Sep-09 01:22 PM
This is such a ridiculous rip-off. Its resemblance to Sidekick's "Deep Fear" (which happened to be the song of the moment a couple of months before this joke of a song was released) is so striking and unambiguous it's killing me. I suppose that's how shit goes down circa 2009 when a producer is overloaded with hype yet happens to be lacking anything that remotely resembles either creativity or talent: provocative (not unlike pop punk per se), purposeless & IDIOTIC post-fidgethouse minimal techno that sounds "good", and at the same time happens to be a mediocre imitation of a song released the previous season. David Guetta's new song - here it comes. It's trying to make you party. Come on man. What's wrong with you?

Officer Down - Subversive Paradigm - 20-Sep-08 11:18 AM
An excellent album. This is Officer down's only official release, besides the split 7" with Puritan. Officer Down play a mix of mid 1990's hardcore/metal a la Undertow/Disembodied with melodic riffs and European metal, with some surprises here and there. Too bad the guys dropped the band to form The Undecided, one of the most stupid bands I've ever heard. Anyway, if you're into 1990's hardcore (of the heavier variety) you're definitely going to like this.

Pennikurvers, The - The Pennikurvers - 26-Aug-08 10:56 AM
What can I say? This record is plain perfect. Bobby from Honeywell plays drums here, but don't expect anything half as screamy or fast here. The Pennikurvers played an epic mix of Lookout pop punk and post-punk, that will appeal to fans of Evergreen, Nuzzle or Eldritch Anissette. All three songs are just excellent, with the highlight being the song on Side B.

Other than the music, the artwork is in the typical mid-1990's fashion, with a hand-written, hardly-redable font, without looking cliche.

The only bad thing about this record is that it's ridiculously hard to find, not unlike all the other Dieselhead Releases. Well, if you manage to track down a copy, you definitely won't regret it.
