DMX Krew - Nu Romantix - 08-Sep-09 02:04 AM
I can remember being at uni when this came out and loving it. 2 years later Les Rhymes Digital came out and all the trendy people started to love the revived 80s sounds and called Stuart Price a genius as if he was there 1st. Well that sell out ended up producing Madonna/sucking Satans cock, DMX Krew remains the TRUE artist. DMX Krew wins in credibility and originality, he gets the last laugh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !(Not that he probably cares, but I do)

Soundmurderers Mind Killer is a superb piece of futuristic, manic, industrial, jungle, breakcore, whatever.

The beats are as awesome as they are unfathomable as they zip past you like piston fired blades.

He really is a genius at chopping and dicing frantic beats. The rhythms never feel random like some breakcore, even in the most frantic and sporadic moments.

It certainly hits the spot and is particularly good in the car at full blast! Ill have to settle for that until I get to hear Soundmurderer on a proper soundsystem.

M83 - Saturdays = Youth - 28-Apr-08 12:07 PM
Im really enjoying this album at the moment, even after several listens and despite it having a different tact from previous M83 releases.

It seems as if everyone wants to make 80s inspired music at the moment but this has done something different. Its actually got emotional depth and atmosphere and is not merely a collection of quirky 80s samples for style over content.

As a 80s kid myself something really connects with me here, it makes me feel nostalgic for my childhood.
