Profile: I'm seriously into electronic music, ranging from the more sedate prog house and prog trance, passing through trance and techno and ending up firmly in the hard dance spectrum. Been mixing all of these styles for just over a year.
Some of my vinyls are for sale, although you'd have to make a decent offer. I will only consider buying/exchanging vinyls that have a 4 or 5 rating. That's why I only rate tracks that I really like.

Röyksopp - Poor Leno - 27-Sep-07 12:06 PM
After a decidedly long intro you get startled by the deep, dark 'n' druggy low-slung bassline that appears out of nowhere. Nothing hard, certainly not fast, but most definitely hypnotic. The bulk of the track consists of this infamous bassline, some clever percussive effects and an understated melody. The only remnants of the original are the vocodered vocals, which are used sparingly. I'd class this as perfect comedown music. The sort of music that you'd listen to after a heavy night out, sat in a living room with a bunch of friends. Pure class!
MDA & Spherical - Infiltrate Your Mind - 02-Jan-07 11:43 PM
Holy uplifting breakdown! This is as good as UK Hard Trance will ever get. Insistent basslines in the intro, coupled with nagging synth lines die out in the break to give one of the most spine-tingling melodies ever conceived by man (in this case, men). I can't stress enough how lush the breakdown is. All seems lush and serene, a proper hands-in-the-air moment, then the breakdown ends with a vicious pounding re-entry into the track. I'm gonna have to get a copy!
Bodyrox - Yeah, Yeah - 30-Dec-06 03:41 PM
Lush! A blissful remix of a modern dancefloor anthem. Chunky, sped up electro house-influenced bosher. Katana doesn't mess with the formula, going with the 'if it ain't broke, then don't fix it' theory, and he does a good job. To be honest, not much is changed, but at least you can play it in a harder, faster set. As for the flip? Well, the original is there in all its glory. Go find this!
Benz & MD - Snowblind - 30-Dec-06 03:41 PM
Quite an odd release, this one. On one side you have blissful melodic house, of the progressive variety. Lovely melodies shimmer on the top end, with an understated bassline carrying the track along. This is the sort of track that would work wonders after a mash-up...for the house music-inclined people. Flip the plastic over and you've got a funk-filled track. I have to admit that I haven't listened to it all that many times, as I don't generally play that sort of genre, but it was good fun to listen to.
PBS* - Disco Shit - 28-Dec-06 09:17 AM
Properly chunky hard tune from Nick Rowland & Dave Wright of Rowland & Wright fame. This is a darker and harder offering than their usual hands-in-the-air stuff...but it's still well worth playing out to the monged masses. Flip it over and you get a dark techno beast of a remix courtesy of Chris Liberator and The Geezer (Guy McAffer). Dark bassline, dark mood..dark everything. I'd head for the mix for total dancefloor desolation.
