DJ Element (3) - Soundtrax For Life Vol. 1 - 04-Jan-08 01:35 AM
What's special about this mix is a unique blend of liquid smooth sounds ("The Great Breakaway") and harder tunes ("Chain Smoker"). Unlike in other live sessions, here the MC is in the background, not taking over tracks with same rhymes, but rather highlighting key moments of the mix. Overall; this is a brilliant mix even though it’s complex. Both: the DJ and the MC are successfully putting all pieces together, shifting from one mood to another.
Blackwell (2) - You Are Now About To Enter The Twilight Zone - 06-Sep-07 03:48 AM
Welll... If you never heard about Blackwell (I haven't) and you're in love in minimal, acid sounds; you should start looking for their releases. If there are any more... This one is built from fragile, sour structures. I said "fragile" and that's why it will fit your headphones better than a dancefloor.
For some reason, the same 12" is avaialble in electronic format in many web shops, but names of the tracks are different there: (a1) crank it up (b1) numb skull
Blame - Shadows Of Technology / Alpha Quadrant - 09-Aug-05 02:28 AM
The melodic Blame is gone. The good looking Blame is gone. Welcome the tough and solid Blame. Blame which introduces heavy, double bass lines in "Alpha Quadrant", spiced by vocoder voices. Ideal for FPP shooters. "Shadows..." would be a nice & mellow track, but the drilling theme makes is a bit aggressive. Well... probably too much drilling.
Luomo - Tessio - 15-May-05 12:02 AM
Unfortunately remixes are not that good as the original track and not that good as versions from the single released in 2001. Simply a few tracks for DJs and for a dancefloor.
You can expect 6 tracks here, but 2 of them are only shorter versions of others. Neither Moonbootica nor Agfdlay managed to present something unique. Only Akufen's bits and cuts makes a difference. Summarizing: nothing really special or catchy.
Young Gods, The - Music For Artificial Clouds - 17-Feb-05 05:03 AM
If you know previos records of Young Gods, you'd be a bit surprised by listening to "Music For Artificial Clouds". No vocals (fortunately), no guitars, no noise. Pure ambinet and done damn well... Some of the previous remixes were in this style, but now it's a masterpiece. If you like guys like Biosphere, you will love it too.
