Profile: Got infected with the techno/trance virus in 1991/1992, Sound of Frankfurt (Eye-Q, Harthouse) at legendary Omen-club. Switched later to Psy- and Progressive-Trance.
Now in my "older" days, I enjoy Psy-Trance and Progressiv-Psy, Progressive Trance/House, Tech-Trance/House, Electro, Minimal, Rock & Trance. I do not like dark (hardcore) Psytrance nor cheesy (dream) Trance.
Of course I sometimes appreciate as well other music genres, but I put on discogs just my electronic collection. One exception:http://www.discogs.com/release/579685
I am just a bed-room DJ mixing private compilations for myself and close friends. I am not a "real" collector, I just buy the releases that seem to match my taste as a "connaisseur", a lover of the sound and vibe over the years, and as an experienced psychonaut.
My collection on discogs is not complete, mainly I put on "newer" stuff since the millennium, almost all are CDs, a few 12''.
I rate a release:
5 = exceptional release, maybe ground-breaking, maybe a personal all-time favourite. I keep this rating restricted.
4 = very good release, will listen and enjoy it several times over a long period of time.
3 = good release, but will lose interest after a couple of listenings.
2 = not so good release, even after a few listenings, Maybe there are only parts of the release that match my taste.
1 = not my taste at all, wish I did not hear it once.
It's just taste, so please don't discuss it with me.
