Air Liquide - Air Liquide - 03-Mar-09 09:44 AM
This release features eleven tracks and out of those eleven tracks i`d say eight are awful, two are just okay and one is very, very good. The problem with this album is that the producers ruin so many of the tracks with completely useless vocal samples that are repeatedly used and become very annoying. And some of the tracks just sound like a couple of mates messing around with some synths. These tracks don`t do anything or go anywhere and are really boring.

I`m reviewing this album because it features an excellent instrumental track Tanz Der Lemminge 2. This track starts off with some deep orchestral type strings and then goes into some electronic percussion sounds. Then some other almost acid sounding synths are brought in and then in comes an extremely deep bass. And it`s this deep repeated bass line coupled with the urgent synth that keeps driving this track along for its almost ten minute duration. This track is very subtle and deep and once heard will stay in the memory because of that deep, deep bass line.

Air Liquide - Space Brothers - 03-Mar-09 03:56 AM
Personally i find 99% of Air Liquide`s productions quite bland and tacky. The reason i`m reviewing this release is because it features the extremely beautiful instrumental track Synsonic. IMO the other three tracks on here are either very bad or very dull and don`t deserve a mention.

Synsonic starts off with thirty seconds of atmospheric synths and then goes into a House tempo rhythm. Then quiet percussion sounds are faded in and the track builds for a few seconds until a very deep bass line comes in. And then in comes some very subtle acid. Throughout the tracks duration beautiful spacey synth sounds keep coming in and then fading out. And the whole time the deep bass line, acid and intelligent percussion drive the track along. This really is an extremely beautiful, deep piece of electronic music that sounds equally as good on headphones or the dance floor.

If you like classic Detroit Techno, intelligent Trance and subtle acid then the chances are you`ll appreciate just how good the track Synsonic is. Just ignore the three other tracks on this release.

Exquisite Corpse - Dream Night Dance Music - 02-Mar-09 02:56 PM
This album can`t really be categorized as Techno, Trance, or Ambient because the producers have taken influences from all those different genres, married them together and created something unique sounding.

IMO all six tracks on this album are near perfect examples of intelligent, non commercial "dance music". But there are two tracks on here that deserve a special mention.

Sitting Under A Tree is a truly beautiful piece of music that keeps building and building for over eight minutes around a deep bass line, meloncholic synths and subtle keys and percussion sounds.

Strange Attractor is the perfect example of how a proper Trance track should sound. Deep bass line, ghostly choral voices, punchy electronic percussion and beautiful dark melodies. This is the real Trance.

This album is full of deep bass lines, rhythmical ethnic percussion sounds and abstract keyboard melodies that stay in the memory long after you`ve listened to them. This album is full of synths that are both beautiful and dark at the same time. This album is designed for both home listening and the club dance floor. This album is so subtle it will only appeal to those who understand that electronic dance music doesn`t have to be obvious and cheesy.

Revelation - Stairway To Heaven - 10-Mar-06 04:42 AM
If you like hauntingly beautiful electronic music then this cd is essential. The best track being (first power
domination dub).An extremely deep piece of melodic druggy
trance that is so simple yet so perfect. This track is "REAL
TRANCE" machine music made with SOUL.100% cheese free and
having absolutely nothing to do with its modern souless namesake that is laughably called trance. This tune takes
your mind on a trip.
