Leila - Don't Fall Asleep - 12-Sep-04 08:34 AM
Don't fall asleep was a shock to me when I heard I for the first time. Sic-Melody, out of rhythm slamming percussions, a voice so blurred and treated that it was not that of a man, or a woman, or a human... Yet, and maybe precisely because of that, It is to me one of the most sexy, groovy, and exilarating song.

Michael Brook With Brian Eno And Daniel Lanois - Hybrid - 21-Aug-03 09:20 AM
One of the best ambient albums ever. The sound treatments are simply incredible: Brook uses distorted sounds from marsh, ponds, insects (as Brian Eno, who co-produced this album did with Brook on Ambient 4 : On Land). The result is organic, soothing, slightly strange - quiet and sombre at the same time.

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker - 29-Jul-03 02:44 AM
Here's a riddle for the non-french speaking listeners. On time 2'42" of the track "Windowlicker" a woman's voice distinctly says in the right speaker the following sentence: "J'aime faire des craquettes au chien", which is quite puzzling, believe me! For if that sentence was intentionnal, it should mean "I like to do it with dogs", but in very childish words. Another explanation is that the girl who recorded that part spoke with an accent, and that she doesn't say "craquettes" but "croquettes" (which means "biscuits") - it would seem to make more sense: "I like to make biscuits for the dog". Yet, nobody makes biscuits for his dog! The last solution would be that the woman likes to do dog-biscuits (dog flavoured biscuits), which seems to be the most pervert explanation, but all the more plausible!
A kinky song, definitely!
