After watching that I got into break dancing and collecting vinyl. During the late eighties was part of a rap quartet in the Cardiff, Rhymney Valley area of South Wales called best shot which included myself DJ C.A.S.E., Rez Q, MC Sire and Rap Tee. In 1990 a mate of mine took me to a rave club in Cardiff called Subways with DJ Silva mixing it up. I remember worrying about getting in as I wasn't 18 and certainly didn't look it, but I got in and was instantly hooked. I used to be a resident with Genesis ( Genesise whats another e amongst friends ) promotions at Clyro Court near Hereford where myself, DJ Delirium and DJ Solo used to rip it up every weekend, also played at Stilettos in Cardiff ( big respect Paul Lyons ) & Marthas Vineyard in Swansea ( respect Lomas ) besides playing various other local clubs & free parties. My musical tastes include British hip hop ( you know the raw stuff with ruff beats and mental scratching ) from the late eighties early nineties, oldskool hardcore from 91 to 93 especially the west country sound, acid, early gabba and industrial techno. Sadly sold most of my record collection some years ago but slowly and oh so surely getting some of it back now, with some exceptions due to the price eh. | |
