Vir Unis - Blood Machine - 11-Jul-07 10:20 AM
A collection of brilliantly produced pieces. Each track reflects every ounce of love and emotion that was poured into it. This album soothes your ears if you give it an undemanding listen, but give it your full attention, and it will truly immerse you in its sounds.
Sander Kleinenberg - The Fruit - 24-Oct-06 09:20 AM
The Fruit.. Wow. The original is a juicy, phat, untamed electro STORMER. For those that think at this point...ah electro; Sander K is yet another sellout bla bla bla....well, if you don't give this one an objective treatment, you will miss its purely ingenious programming, groove and style...your loss (and those with open minds gain!)
Âme - Rej EP - 24-Oct-06 08:46 AM
I don't see what the fuss is all about. I have listened to this Rej over and over, purely for the sake of catching on to it and saying "Ah! Now I get it!"...but I don't. It would have been a brilliant minimalistic instrumental piece without the silly 'scary' synth up front (which sounds like it was stolen from a circus by the way).
I will give due to the background instrumental programming and a nice low constant bassline, however.
James Holden - 22-Jul-06 02:02 AM
I have two contradicting comments to add to this discography...
Firstly, James Holden is an absolute genius for conceiving two impossibly good tracks, namely "Nothing" and "I Have Put Out The Light". For me, these two techy monsters touch a part deep inside me that few grooves do. Both have amazing dirty, grinding, erotic basslines and powerful melodies.
Unfortunately I must also add that I don't like the direction Holden is taking these days. He seems to have lost his knack for techno stormers and instead has become weirder and weirder, musicwise, by the day.
Regardless, said tracks will forever remain priceless gems in my collection...
Cristian Paduraru - 21-Jul-06 02:36 PM
Cristian Paduraru is one of the more talented and freshest of the new breed of progressive electronica artists. While most use tired, boring formulas to create uninteresting 'deep prog', Paduraru seems to put a little more juice and love in his tunes.
His tracks are full of energy and life-giving vibe. Each track seems to have a unique character of its own, and sometimes tracks seem to continue in sequels (for example Developing Creativity sounds like a refined version of He Knows His Creation which is truly a joy to hear).
This man can be techy, he can be funky, he can do raw breaks.
I look forward to anything the man puts out...
