Various - Hard NRG - The Album - 07-Jun-03 07:26 AM
Ive only ever skipped through the first disk, it is your typical run-of-the-mill cheesy hard house tunes thats guaranteed to get any cyber-kid chomping on their dummies.
The second disk is much more the real thing, the kind of hard dance tunes that will stand the test of time with some great tracks such as I Feel Love, Warriors, Mystery Tour, Phaze 1 and D2.

Jon Doe & UFO - Phaze 1 / Phaze 2 - 08-May-03 05:42 AM
For every 50 or so hard trance/hard dance tunes released, only one or two tracks have any intelligence or emotion.
And then there is this piece of work. Words fail me. Each time I hear this brilliantly crafted tune the hairs on my nape stand on end. Every time!!
Probably one of the best, and time enduring tracks to come out of the hard dance scene, Phaze 1 has a great breakdown and the eventual build towards the end is fantastic.

Paul Maddox And Tom Harding - Tidy Vs Frantic - 28-Mar-03 12:28 AM
The first half of this mix is by Paul Maddox - not my bag really as it just seems to be all about boshing, but the mix really picks up when Tom Harding kicks in with a fine mix of tough house, the only let down in Toms mix is the last track.

K90 - Urban Anthems - 06-Feb-03 05:22 AM
Yet another quality recording from Mark Dogget, although a shame that 11 great tracks only weigh in at just over an hour.
Stand-out tracks are Red Snapper and Deliverance, both of which appear on Disk 2 of the first Frantic compilation.
If you have ever seen this guy live, youll know that he sure knows how to work a crowd.

Various - Tasty Volume One - 05-Feb-03 12:44 AM
What a top cd this is! Unfortunately Disk 1 doesnt do it for me with only a few stand out tracks where Im concerned.
The second disk on the other hand is a damn good mix of tough house and driving trance with some blinding tracks such as 1000 Miles An Hour, Warriors, NRG, Let It Move You, 414 All and Warehouse. And with a track like High to end the cd, with its very unusual breakdown, this cd hardly ever finds itself out of my car!!!
