This is an excellent hybrid that will appeal to fans of minimal deepness. Sparce space and not complex arrangement and sonic tonalities-just intonations. blender techno-eclectic and a far from the mainstream anything but soo coool!!!!
Surgeon - 14-Jul-04 07:20 PM
I think he has done some innovative techno. I don't think he's real high up on the soul tip, his productions sound the same to me. From the very beginning. Don't understand why he doesn't experiment more with his moods. Or why his records seem to sound similar, maybe in his production technique. i like each release from an artist to change and show a story. He looks clinical when he dj's. I think he is a talent, and i think he can kill it on a good night for sure. I know claude loves his productions so I may not understand. maybe it's the fat 909 all big in front. I want to like surgeon but for some reason, it excapes me.
Troy Geary - Phantoms - 01-Dec-03 11:38 AM
Mr. Geary protests the War with his Phantoms record agreeing with Mr. Mills No War in Iraq stance. Very millsesque and setting the tone for the 21st century that mills continues to be the main driving Techno Force at this moment in History. Big UpS Mr. Mills.
DJ Slip - Popmusic - 01-Dec-03 11:00 AM
This record was recorded in Germany and saw Slip releasing alot more music on kanzleramt now and not so many missile records. Tim Taylor needed more primetime bangin and not so much artsy deepness. Also the track bpitch title was used as a heads up to a little known label then bpitch aka Ellen Aliens label. ellen had been doing alot of parties in Berlin and Slip was lucky enough to play one. Ellen has ended up being one of the Worlds most sought after producers/dj. nuff said

Emerald City (3) - Music For The Physical Theatre - 01-Dec-03 10:56 AM
This was one of slips more popular records on musicman with grinding industrial noise with warbly bass and deep stretching synth noises. Played once again by all the purist djs. Licensed by quite a few cd comps and this record is still fresh and can really add a new dimension to any djs set. this record will be a serious collectors item.
