Frankie Valentine - Paradise Regained - 04-Jan-08 10:47 PM
What a set of remixes! Every single deep & tech house skeptic out there should own this record! I'm not kidding. Both Slam and Jeremy Newall reinterpretations are stellar - but it's the Matthew Bushwacka's remix that stands out and shines on this twelve. For me that remix is one of the best records of 2006. Period. It hardly gets better than this. All I can tell you is to track this one down at any cost - it's sooo worth the money.

Wink* - Higher State Of Consciousness - 22-Dec-07 04:33 AM
In the age of uncontrolled flood of crappy music and artists that have nothing to offer I find it really hard to believe that classic tracks such as Wink's "Higher State..." are getting remixed over and over. Well.. a remix of a claasic is okay with me and always welcomed - but only if it is done by the right person. Dirty South? Marco V? Who the hell are those people? All they do is produce trendy electro-house crap, hoping for a quick buck. Come on Josh Wink, we don't need this shit.

John Digweed - Global Underground 006: Sydney - 20-Dec-07 05:49 AM
If there's one mixed compilation you would want to listen again before you die - this one would be it. There's no doubt in my mind that Disc 1 of this masterpiece is one of the best - if not THE best - mixed CDs I've ever heard in my entire life. The track selection, genius-like mixing and incredible set flow will blow your mind on a first listen. With GU 006 Digweed has created a masterpiece that is and will be embraced by fans for years and years to come. It is THAT good.

Various - Space Ibiza 99 - 20-Dec-07 05:10 AM
When I first travel to Ibiza back in '99 I picking up this double CD at a local record store right outside of my hotel in San Antonio. Man, what a mix. Great memories!

Carl Cox kicks off his disc (CD1) in style with Max Brennan's "1300 Milliseconds..." and doesn't stop from there, dropping bombs one after another. The mix climaxes towards the end with Trevor Rockcliffe's "Let's Stay Together" quickly morphing into Sharpside's "Critikal Freaks". The second disc offers a proper house treatment from Ibizan local hero - Space resident Jose De Divina.

Scion Versions - 17-Dec-07 03:29 AM
Scion Versions is a new label (only few releases strong but with more to come) releasing series of exclusive dub techno EPs. Their output consist of deep and dubby tracks dominated by heavy reverbs, echoes, layered atmospheric sounds and deep basslines, including the trademark Basic Channel/Chain Reaction-style arrangement. For fans of dub techno it can't get better than this. Scion Versions are the real deal.

The label's primary distribution format is vinyl, however, some of their releases are also available as digital MP3 downloads from various online stores.
