None of the tracks on this CD are actually taken from the original tapes, all are from 45s as a careful listen will reveal many clicks and much worn vinyl. Non the less this is still an excellent compilation of Northern Soul music with every track coming from the period of 1965-1968. In my opinion there isnt a bad track on here and they are all now much sought after on original 45s with some commanding four figure price tags.

This record is a modern replica made for the Northern Soul scene although strangely Tainted Love was never officially released on Uptown anyway.
