Deadbeat - New World Observer Aug 24, 2007 (edited over 2 years ago)
Fabulous dub monster. N'importe starts with this plodding, delicious, deep-slow vibe, then turns into a driving upbeat semi-glitch train wreck. Texas Tea is dub at its best with sexy wet vocal thrown in for good measure. Thought provoking experimental masterpiece in Abu Ghriab. Experimental ambient genre-bending soundscapes. Gloriously produced throughout. Find this at all costs!

Immersive, involving "sticky" flow to the music - doesn't allow you to get away from it once you're listening. Impeccable production, pulling the most from the tremendous flood of ideas presented. Mellow, intricate, multilayered...genius, crossing any number of genres, from ambient to jungle psy to space. A winner.

Definitive 70's release from one of the more prolific and diverse rockers of the era. This album defined country/folk/rock in its day. Every song a hit, and assistance from his famous friends doesn't hurt either. An absolute classic!

Without a doubt this release is in a class all by itself. Brings to mind some of the immersive games I've played (Myst) with amazing clarity. One of my personal favs in the ambient genre. A positive vibe throughout, yet dark, mellow and involving. I can listen to this everyday, but don't so I won't wear out the feeling I get when I listen to it. Tom and Mark at their absolute best!
