Russ Gabriel - Peace EP - 21-Oct-09 02:10 PM
Can believe no review on this superb EP yet. This is one of the most beautiful techno records i have heard, and coming out in 1993 this still sounds amazing. I used to hear Colin Dale playing "Peace for thought" on a regular basis during his outer limits shows.

Not a bad track on this record, all have that "ambient techno" influence, good headphone music, and for the dance floor. "Peace for thought" is the stand out track, absolute bliss, a classic and well worth hunting down.

Invincible Force - Designs For The Future EP - 02-Sep-09 04:42 AM
Whooooooooooa, this is a killer 12" after a long long hunt for this record i finally have this ultra obscurity. After going through each track im totally impressed, coming out 1991 this is way ahead of time, and as the titles suggests "Designs for the future". Each track is electro, some with influences of hardcore/breakbeat.

Theirs not a bad tune on this 12" the stand out ones i keep playing at the moment are "Return of the DMX" which uses the break from world class wreckin cru-world class, has an industrial edge to it, with plenty of bleeps and darkness. The other stand out track is "Invincible freestyle" a hint of early 91 breakbeat in here.

I really cant get over how good this record is for its time, its so unknown too, this will appeal to any electro head into drexciya, simulant, or any obscure breakbeat head looking for something very special and different. Dont sleep on this one if it ever turns up, buy it at any cost, as you wont see it again.

Sunrise Society - Matter - 25-Aug-09 09:22 AM
So underrated this ep, i cant understand why this one doesn't get the attention it deserves. This record is all about "Astral Travel" in my opinion, an 8 min piece of blissful techno, id probably put this track in an more chilled techno set or an ambient set.

The track "astral travel" is up their with tracks like "agraphobia" by LA synthesis with that deep detroit feel, i wonder why this one doesn't get noticed much? A very good record all in all, if you feel like astral traveling for 8 mins buy this, as its a very easy find.

Music & Movement - Ambi Tech Know E.P. - 13-Aug-09 04:26 AM
Picked this one up by chance on here as i was curious, turns out one of the tracks has been on my wants for many years to my surprise. This is an excellent ep if your into real nice ambient techno, as the title suggests.

The track in particular "Ultimatum" that was on my wants as played by Colin Dale in his Outer Limits show back in the day is 5 mins of pure bliss, sounding like global communication and Psychic warriors of gaia. This ep is not known to many people, as it seems pretty scarce, but any ambient/IDM oldskool head should love this ep for that track alone.

A very obscure ambient techno ep that deserves more attention, if you see it buy it without hesitation.

Bochum Welt - Phial EP - 10-Jul-09 10:48 AM
This ep has to be the best release by Bochum welt to date. The tracks are all killers nearly on this 12", and instead of his usual recent electropop/IDM nonsense he makes these days, this manages to be pure bliss, ambient/electro, and experimental at times.

The track "Phaedra" is nothing but beautiful, one of the best ambient/idm tracks i have ever heard, when i first heard this track played by Paul thomas chillout zone on kiss fm, i thought maybe this was an unreleased Global Communication track, its really that good. This ep is superb, by it on spot, and way way better than his material he is releasing these days.

Very rare indeed, but worth paying the money for it...
