Into house etc since Glastonbury 1994 conversion listening to Orbital on the then "NME stage". Still got a lot of 12's to add.

Sasha - Invol2ver - 25-Sep-08 05:52 AM
The most disappointing release I've listened to for some time. The first CD is like late 1990's progressive house, which at the time made me get into Techhouse instead. The ladytron track is good though (track 9, CD1). The second CD is instantly forgetable. The first involver is much better, in my opinion. I stress this is only my opinion. I do think it is very well produced though. The music does "sound" good, but it doesn't grab me at all like I hoped it would.

Mesmerizing! Leaves you stunned if you sit and take the whole album in one undisturbed hit in a darkened room. Deep, hypnotic and strange.
Not produced in Dolby 5.1 unlike Hawtins DE 9 Transitions but still works really well if played on a home cinema system in Pro-logic with the woofer turned up. If there's a better Minimal Techno album around I'd love to hear it. A must for serious Techno lovers. I want the vinyl version now!

I love the Taucher remix, my missus loves Tilt's. Tauchers has it for me because of it's minimalism. The first couple of minutes and the last couple are just like a percussive Tech/trance workout. The two halves are separated by a WHOPPING breakdown of the big emotional strings and soft horns type. I LOVE THIS!

Slam - Positive Education - 08-Sep-04 07:01 PM
One of those records with an intended 'B' side that might well be better than the A. "Intensities" is indeed an underated and overlooked tune.

Lee Burridge - 24:7 - 27-Apr-04 02:07 PM
This is miles better than Danny Howell's effort in my opinion. His was incredibly dull. Danny Howell's Nubreed was, however, very good, as long as your still into prog. Lee Burridge blends house and breaks to great effect. I prefer this to his Nubreed mix as I think it varies more and is more chilled. The Tempo is a little slower. I agree that there isn't much difference in tempo and style between the night and day disks. There certainly is a distinction betwen the 2 CD's in Danny Howells 24:7, but the whole thing definately made me feel like it was nightime, because I nearly fell asleep!
