Jeff Mills - The Bells Feb 25, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
I spoke to Jeff at Axis Shop Live at Eukatech, London 17-Feb-05 and he told me that these videos were originally made in 1997-98 (some of the footage is definitely in Paris at the Eiffel Tower) but have never been publicly shown. The audio was specifically mastered with the DJ in mind giving good levels for cueing at the beginning of each track before each one really kicks in.
If you've seen the remix section of the Three Ages DVD on MK2 records they'll give you an idea of the editing processes and visual effects used on this release. The Three Ages DVD remixes have a real-time feel to the video and audio demonstrating the possibilities of using Pioneers DVJ-X1 DVD decks in a live situation. The whole thing on The Bells DVD is much more polished. Look out for them being used in future Mills DVD/DJ sets...a truly stunning release.

I've got two copies of this, the first copy is as listed above but the second one I has been pressed with B side tracks on both sides (no A side)...I still consider 001A to be one of the strongest 00A releases to date.
