Omar-S - Psychotic Photosynthesis - 19-Dec-08 02:23 PM
We are in front of one of the best deep house records of 2007. Very powerful on the dancefloor and above all very impressive and communicative to your mind and your emotions. I personally consider this one to be the Omar S masterpiece, if we remember Derrick May (above all but not only) for String of life, Alex will be strictly connected to "Psychotic photosynthesis" in the next years to come. We can find all the ingredients to recognize it as a perfect example of "free-emotive-house music", maybe not music for everybody but one thing is sure: not everybody can do it. Detroit Tech soul manifesto.

Patrice Scott - The Evolutions EP - 28-Sep-08 06:33 AM
What a record !!!! Definetely one of the best records in 2008 for me. It will sticks in my dj bag for ages, its that sort of timeless tracks that never fail. What makes it special is that musical freedom on top of those tech-soul patterns ... all combined with Patrices usual deepness. Alongside Omar S "Psychotic photosynthesis" and a few others this year, this record should be part of a musical training for those guys who "produce" that sort of strangely and mistakenly called "minimal techno" music (I would call it "empty techno"). "Minimal" shouldnt be treated as a general term for that emptyness in nowadays trendy dance music. Really hope that records like "Evolutions" will be educational at least for somebody who wanna turn up to the right direction. Ksoul

Freedom Soundz - Journeyz - 09-Mar-08 08:18 AM
Hero is one of the most under rated records of last ten years, I love this track, it sticks in my bag and I cant stay without it. Pure deep house stuff that fix well with nearly everything, in the same chords of Aesthetic Audio or Sistrum stuff. One of the best deep house tracks ever ... it deserves more and more like the label ( Neroli ) itself. Timeless release without any doubt ... buy it buy it buy it !!!

Keith Worthy - Emotional Content - 08-Oct-07 03:36 PM
Emotional is the right description for this record ... one of the outstanding releases of 2007 and definetely for years to come. Its got all the ingredients a deep house wax needs. It gets into your heart with no way back teaching you the right way to build up a tasty dj set ... five stars 12". It will stay in my bag for a long time I guess. Deep house label of the year alongside Sistrum recordings.

Probably one of the best vocals of the last ten years. Definetely a must have release and a future classic. I use to play it after the previous instrumental version, to make a longer intro before droppin in with this outstanding vocal cut. If you are into Detroit stuff this record will be a milestone in your collection. Tech soul at its best, dont hesitate to buy one copy while its possible.
