Various - Colt 45 EP - 18-Apr-05 08:54 AM
This ep is another fine example of the quality releases on the Peaches label. The stand out track on this one is Guided Methods - Cool Like X. Sampling an old acid jazz track by Digible Planets called The Rebirth of Slick it combines the old jazz sounds of Art Blakeys - Stretchin out, with the Chicago Chunky house sound.

DJ Yoda - How To Cut & Paste Vol. 2 - 14-Mar-05 12:06 PM
What can I say? Quality hip hop cuts, excellent technical ability and an awesome sense of humour. Keep em comin Yoda!!

James Zabiela - ALiVE - 08-Mar-05 04:22 AM
After years of djs sounding exactly the same, Zabiela finally shows us the way forward. This CD is one of the most technically excellent pieces of mixing I have ever heard, whilst still retaining a smooth and solid sound. Its not enough just listening to the mix you really need to read the booklet whilst listening to fully appreciate the level of work that has gone into this production.

Amenti Music - 01-Jan-05 07:58 AM
Over the last two years Amenti have released a collection of must have tracks. Deeply rooted in the underground, Oliviers taste in music is admirable. This has got to be one of the most consistent labels on the market at the moment, releasing track after track of top shelf house music.

Joey Youngman - 15-Oct-04 01:21 PM
Joey Youngman has to be THE producer/artist of 2004. His work as a solo artist as well as with Tony Hewitt in their Young Govenors Guise has impressed me no end. The amazing blend of Chicago/San Fran Jackin house with elements of Jazz, Funk and hip-hop is definatly a winning formula for me. I have bought virtually every release to date and am looking forward to future productions.
