Unfortunately, my wantlist is totally dated and I'm too lazy to update it.

Sons Of Ilsa - Die Zipfelmütze, Der Handwagen Und Die Gummimuschi - 05-Sep-05 08:22 AM
The cover art (or "Coverfrukelei" as it's called in the sleeve notes ;-) is a skit of Sven Väth's The Harlequin, The Robot And The Ballet-Dancer. This is an album with pubescent and sometimes questionable lyrics but it's extremely hilarious at times. Unfortunately, it contains many interlude-like tracks. The standout tracks for me are Mei Allerliabsta Sound, Red 3 and King Of Shizehouse. I'd love to see the dancers' faces when a DJ would mix Red 3 into a "serious" techno set. That would be too funny...

Humate And Rabbit In The Moon - Hemispheres E.P. - 15-May-05 01:07 PM
The words at the end of "South" are spoken by Holly Hunter in the film "The Piano" by Jane Campion:

"At night! I think of my piano in its ocean grave, and sometimes of myself floating above it. Down there everything is so still and silent that it lulls me to sleep.
[...]
There is a silence where hath been no sound /
There is a silence where no sound may be /
In the cold grave, under the deep deep sea."

Again, the last three verses are taken from the poem "Silence" by Thomas Hood (1799-1845).

B-Zet - When I See... - 11-Jan-05 01:59 PM
As far as I'm concerned, there is only one real soul/pop song on this album, namely 'everlasting pictures (right through infinity).' I pretty much like this song, although it sounds quite "commercial."

There is also another german re-release (0630-12975-2) of this album with a monochrome blue artwork. On that album, 'african mirror' is replaced by 'caught within (gonna miss you),' another soul song, which I don't appreciate very much. Moreover, the track lengths differ a little.

My favourite track on this CD is the title track which demonstrates B-Zet's talent for creating soulful and emotional ambient tracks. It reminds me a bit of his remixes of Sven Väth's 'ballet-dancer' as well as Stina Nordenstam's 'little star'. Two other tracks/songs that you really should know if you're a B-Zet fan.
