I can't believe that nobody has commented on this tune! This is possibly the best hard dance track of all time. Along with 'The Dawn' the best hard dance track ever made in my opinion. 'Are You All Ready' is the original hoover track which made hard house what it is today. If you've ever been in a club such as Polysexual or Sundissential and heard this played at around 5am you'll understand why this tune is loved by myself and so many others. It defines the scene. It has that i don't care attitude of still being up at 5 the next day and having no worries about people thinking yu're nuts and dancing like a complete wally! No other hard dance tune (except 'The Dawn') comes close to topping this piece of audio art. This is an absolute classic that any fan of hard dance MUST have in their collection. When Passion first started, most the stuff released by them was relentless nosebleed hard house that was basically 160bpm beats with mental hoovers throughout. This put me off the label for ages because although i like quite hard hard dance music, the stuff initially released on this label seemed really poorly produced. Recently i have started listening to their stuff again and a lot of their output these days is quite good. It sounds like the artists are dedicating more time to their work and not just making forgetable hard NRG that takes about an hour to produce. It also seems like other labels similar to Passion are releasing much better quality hard dance. This is great because it makes the music more accesible to a wider audience and when styles have more variety, people stay interested. Hard house is still going strong and I hope will last for many years to come - KEEP IT TIDY!! Good tune. Slightly harder than other versions and makes it sound fresh for 2005 but I still think the Ferry Corsten remix and Skip Raiders feat. Jada 'Another Day' (It contains adagio for strings) are better versions. Still, hard to make an already brilliant tune better. Respect to Tiesto for having a good go at it. There are some great tunes on this album, the best one being Nu NRG 'Dreamland', but it there is a lot of really boring progressive-ish stuff on here as well. Personally, I like my music to be euphoric, energetic or groovy and a lot of the tracks on here don't fit into any of those categories. I respect PvD and this album hasn't made me think of him as any lesser DJ but I think you've got to be really into his sound to properly enjoy this album otherwise you'll just skip through to the best bits. Possibly should have been the B side. Anyone who bought this must have bought it for the excellent remix of carte blanche. It isn't clever and is really just a beefed up version of the original but it sounds wicked and allows harder djs to include the classic in their sets. Guyver and Lee on top form. Signum's 'coming on strong', 'what ya got 4 me' and 'just do it' were three of the best tunes from the past few years. I preffered them when they hard a slightly bouncy hard house/trance element to their tunes but their 'Tiesto' trance they make now is quite good. There have also been some great remixes. I recommend you check out the John Whitemann and Ingo remix of 'Just Do It' (If you can get hold of a copy because there were only 500 pressed - I have a copy!!!) which is a full on boshathon and the Bo Bellow vs Euphoriah remix of 'coming on strong' which was featured in Kevin & Perry Go Large. In my opinion, the best track is the original mix of coming on strong. Throbbing bouncy beat with the ultimate euphoric breakdown. | ||||
