Grooverider - The Prototype Years - 26-Jun-06 01:56 AM
This Lp includes two of my favourite dnb-tunes ever!
Dillinja - Silver blade Beautiful atmospheres, and a roaring amen smashing drop...Hard to put in words what feelings go through my head when I listen to this, mostly it just tells me something how life is...
Optical - Grey odyssey This track is THE funk! Rolling beats with dreamy synths, just what I love!
Rob F* / Rob F And Kiko* - Primal / The Beholder - 27-May-06 05:36 AM
Imo Primal is the probably most underrated drum and bass-tune ever. The first time I heard it I thought it was kind of scary, but it isn't in any way: Actually I only listen to it when I'm in a really good mood, always brings a smile to my face :)! Good Neurofunk-style drum and bass from Rob f, I wish there would be some new material by him.
808 State - Ninety - 10-May-06 12:19 AM
A few days ago I downloaded an mp3 version of this genious album...I thought it was quite good, but then today when I walked out in the streets later in the evening and listened to it with my, god I was blown away! As soon as I returned home, I got hold of the vinyl version from ebay...kind of an introduction to early techno for me, some of the best music I've heard in ages!
Matrix - Sleepwalk - 24-Apr-06 12:34 AM
This is the best work of dnb and jazz-fusion ever to be heard! Matrix' best musical piece, and in my opinion on of the highpoints in drum & bass. Neurofunk basslines and reeses, layered with breaks and sometimes some jazzy samples. He once mentioned, that a lot of his inspiration comes from miles davis, which you can clearly hear on this record.
I guess Apache is the best track on here - named after the break, this is a great influential piece with masterful break editing. Bongos at it's best! If you're into the virus sound, then this album is a must have!
DJ Teebee* - Black Science Labs - 15-Apr-06 11:33 AM
This album is without a doubt one of the best dnb-lp's EVER! The dark and futuristic atmosphere which is shown by mad synths, dark pads, clean breaks and sci-fi movie-quotes gives you the feeling that the world is already a battlefield between humans & robots. The production is absolutely outstanding, can't think of many people who kept their style that individual...just listen to gravity distortion, sick breaks with hard edits interfusing with guitar-like samples!whoa!
